What’s something you learned that completely changed how you saw everything?

I’ll start:
When I found out that being healthy and losing weight wasn’t about spending hours exercising & running miles every day, but that 90% of the battle was just about removing horrifically unhealthy (and very normalized) chemical substitute, grain heavy, “fat free”, and sugar packed foods - but was just about getting back to the basics and animal based fats. Everything else is crazy easy after you do that.

Then to add, that your mood, depression, energy levels, are also SO insanely dependent on that same problem.

What was one of yours?
 Can’t outrun a bad diet.
 That’s a good one.

Mine: realizing I had the ability to completely step away from the 9 to 5 slave life and still survive while following passions…
 Gah! So jealous!
 9 to 5 is a grind, indeed
Piggybacking on yours, last year the FDA actually forced the only seed-oil-free baby formula to add seed oils.

Realizing the food supply was poisoning all of us was one thing. Realizing that the corporate interests are determined to poison our BABIES was another. Our children are literally the battleground.
Yes! Its the babies and the children they are targetting. So important to protect them. https://video.nostr.build/2caba5343bf570da8d108797aaae1d1c8c291abd0600f8b24533a5101b0042b9.mp4
We know the real reason, but what could possibly be the public justification for requiring this?
They claimed the fatty acid balance/content was insufficient I believe.

Obviously it was big corporations squashing the competition

That formula (Bobbie) is still the only one on the market without pesticides
Decisions made in the dark and nobody questions it.

Another one besides bitcoin that leads to so many, was the stoics (and the cynics)
Learning that Bitcoin is the real money.

Why would I ever “take profits?”
I have the same one. Went down the food rabbit hole in 2015. Cured my asthma and eczema and began completely distrusting science and the medical profession.

Another one was learning that the U.S. has been run by the CIA since the 1940s. It made me realize that nothing in politics matters as long as there is an entrenched bureaucracy running the show. Ironically, it brought me great peace and calm knowing I had no say in what our govt does.
That we have an invisible, multidimensional 24th pair of chromosomes that is just now beginning to be activated to assist humanity as we enter into a transformational shift of energy on the planet. The age of barbarianism is finally coming to and end.
Is there any evidence of this, scientifically ?
There are no instruments available to us at the moment that can see multidimensional things. These are coming. Do you have and instrument that measures the amount of love or hate in a human? Science is evolving in the energy shift just like everything else.
For me this was learning how subjective the human experience is from studying hypnosis.
Most of our physical experiences are defined by the stories we tell ourselves.
If someone tells you your feet are stuck to the floor and you subconsciously believe it, it is so.
A lifetime of chronic pain can vanish in an instant when your brain believes a different story, by for example a hypnotist telling you so.

This also portrays to our self-esteem and what we can accomplish in the world.
We put so many limitations on ourselves.
You don't know what you can't do.
Have you come across the book, the 4 agreements?

It's very much aligned with what you're saying but it focuses on the agreements we make as we interact with others.

When you agree with the perspectives or words presented by another, you make an agreement. This agreement is then bundled with the other agreements you've made & affects your experience in this realm.

The book presents a way to start breaking previously made agreements & accepting 4 new agreements to help live a more fulfilling life.

Realizing that anyone who thinks they’re living in the present is actually always lagging behind an 80milisecond gap between sensory input and brain processing. In other words, 8billion past/future-projecting anxiety junkies not realizing the power of present presence. Gives you a lot of room to breathe once you wholeheartedly accept that only the Buddha closed this gap in mindful awareness since time immemorial.
Fermented foods are the key to a healthy gut. Try kombucha, kimchi, yogurt and miso for easy at home solutions you can make yourself. My wife @CitSailing makes these aboard our boat as we sail the world.
Oh please please tell me that y'all are gonna do travel vlogs of your adventures, and that they'll be available on Nostr so we can travel with you, too? 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Have to say the interactions with people on #Nostr are so positive it’s hard not to want to share more of this lifestyle. Thanks we’ll do our best 🤙
Not really learned but came to a realization that incentives govern everything. Made me look very differently at everything and everyone’s behavior. Why are they doing this? What incentivized this behavior? Kind of makes you pause and think more deeply about why things are the way they are.
 Same same
For me it was learning how our financial system actually functions. Once I had a solid understanding of our monetary system and policies I started viewing almost everything through a much different lens.
Mimetic rivalry from René Girard. Its all I see everywhere now. And scapegoating/mob action

 Dynamical systems theory
That there is no such thing as "serving your country" in the modern era. Learned this in the service. All you're really doing is volunteering to be Lucifer's right hand man.
 Thank you for saying this.
Think of one friend who's been in a constant struggle to lose weight since you've known them.

Now think of one friend who's constantly battling depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues.

Got them picked?

Now let me magically predict both of their diets:

Lots of plants & plant-based products, "low-fat" versions of everything, and little to no fatty meat.

I dare you to open up their fridge and tell me I'm wrong.

It didn’t change everything, but I find the relationship between trees and mycelium fascinating. Trees use the mycelium network, also known as the "wood wide web," to communicate and share resources underground. They can exchange nutrients, water, and even chemical signals through this network, which helps them survive and thrive in their environment. 🌳🍄
I'm just going down the mycelium rabbit hole now. I'd never really thought about fungi as distinct from plants, animals & primative organisms.

I didn't realise how useful their fruiting bodies were to humans or how easy & cheap it can be to encourage certain species to grow on cellulose (plant waste).
When 3 of the most important (and previously trusted) centralized agencies in my profession (cdc, fda, & nih) handled the Covid “crisis” the way that they did and the gross number of fellow health care providers that unquestioningly followed (and many continue to do so) their directives🤯🤯

My epiphany was:
there is so much more than just incompetence involved in many of these centralized decisions
… and that even/maybe esp “well educated” minds are susceptible to the ideas of “the experts”
…have we “educated” the integrity and critical thinking out of 2 gereations

Oh yeah and I’m thankful for the courage of people like Robert Malone, Peter McCullough, Pierre Kory and so many others…not sure they had all the details right but at least had the courage to question…at great expense to their professional lives, reputations and legacies (we’ll see about the legacies🌅)

Jus one idgit’s opinion🤷🏽‍♂️
Oh man there are so many..

“Healthcare” is actually sick care and the longer someone is on a drug the more $ doctors and pharma make.
We must learn to be our own primary care while eating clean food, mitigating toxins, and moving the body regularly

Public schools are actually indoctrination camps to create obedient workers

“News” organizations are just propaganda arms of the state.
I’ve slowly learned to look at what’s covered and understand how that coverage pushes certain agendas.
If the news is covering a protest then that will be used to either push an agenda or divide society (currently happening in a big way).
Protests that actually threaten the state will not be covered (various French ones, truckers, etc)
 Astronomy.
Awe, that makes me so happy. Good for you. ❤️🙌🌞
These are the kinda discussion I love on nostr. And I follow everyone I am not following who I resonate with anyways...

We have been force fed lies for decades. For me, it's hard to pinpoint a specific moment. Was more of all at once. Love this, Guy. 🤟🏼😎🤙🏼
 Milleniums, not decades.
Absolutely have. Most aren't ready for that talk, yet. 😉🤙🏼
Learning that empire building nowadays occurs via a mixture of debt slavery, propaganda, and assassination. Everything you see and hear on the news is a lie.

Etc. etc. there's too much.
That was a life-changing, paradigm-shifting realization for me too.

I’ve been carnivore for years now and I have recovered my physical and mental health.
The human race is a shit show, pass the popcorn.
That the true tax rate being paid by Western Citizens is far higher than that which the government would have you believe, and 99% are therefore prisoners to the man or 100% dependent on the same…

The West is in fact modern slavery and everyone must be freed.
That when you get angry, frustrated, or upset because of something someone else did, this is a choice you make. It has nothing to do with what the other person did, you are completely responsible for your own emotions.
People will only see/hear/understand that which they are ready for. It's not really a matter of leading them to water. They'll drink when they are ready, no matter how much you push.
I thought most people were capable of reasoning and critical thinking. I thought if I had a debate with someone and my arguments would counter theirs, They would change their minds.

Why did I think that? This is how I am myself. I can change my mind on things when proven wrong.

With the Covid hysteria, I realise that most people were completely brainless and are like walking zombies. They just follow what authority (media, professors, politicians, health 'experts') tell them to.

Now I see people as NPCs until proven otherwise.

I also believe that there are 2 human races :

1 Remnant critical thinkers intellectually honest

2 NPCs brainless zombies

Where are not the same. We are not the same race
Don't breed with the NPCs it's a crapshoot with the kids
Haha this. I found a remnant so I am good
 Yes.

Realising that your perception of reality can be so markedly different to those around you experiencing the same events.

I later found out that you're experience is determined by what's inside of you rather than what's happening around you.
#Bitcoin showed me that dogmas are insidious, and many times, despite seeming foreign, the "opposite" of a thing is better than the status quo or even the actual removal of that thing.

The "thing" here for me was fiat money, but it applies to Guys health example just the same!

For me 2 things happened at about the same time:
1. I was digging the ultimate truth about wealth preservation and also wealth generation (becoming rich), and came to conclusion that best preservation was speculating stocks with insider knowledge, and best generation of wealth - essentially the same thing, complimented with business startups that do not necessarily produce anything useful for humanity, and borrowing money at low rates. With that I concluded that the entire global regime was unfair, based on shareholders and traders essentially enslaving the rest.
2. Global dirt pouring on Trump that was totally out of sync with his own tweets and work results.

With that I knew that the world was upside-down, but that did not give me any information about how to escape the matrix, until the last few months of Trump's presidency, when he started hinting about Q and the rest of his gang. Through those few paths he gave and even himself later on, I discovered all the red and the orange pills I needed.
I basically owe everything including my own and my family's health to Trump and his gang.
Similar to your experience, is sunlight & grounding exposure vs indoor/blue-light exposure. Its even more powerful than food. Follow @DrJackKruse to learn more (he's also a great Bitcoiner).
 Reading the federal mafia 😮
What a beautiful question to ask & such an awesome array of thoughtful responses to digest.

My most recent epiphany came when I took a break from the fiat mines last July.

The first thing I realised was that I didn't need as much fiat as I thought I did to live a fulfilling life. I think this is something many older people realise when they retire.

I got all my time back, so I didn't need to outsource everything in my life for the sake of time/convenience. I didn't have a gaping hole in my soul left by fiat mining to fill with trinkets & shiny things. I didn't have to buy fancy shirts & suits to impress corporate wankers who were too caught up in themselves to notice anyway.

I also finally became comfortable with the Bitcoin I'd stacked after 3½ years of feeling very late to the party. I figured that if Bitcoin is going where I think it's going, I'll be alright. If it doesn't go where I think it will, then at least I'll buy a couple of years of my time back.
We create our own reality/life, we can choose to do it consciously or unconsciously.

Once I saw and experienced this there was no going back for me.

🤙
I learned years ago that there is a cost to every decision. There is a cost to yes a cost to no and a cost to ignore. The trick is to weigh the cost from all the answers.
when I learned my docs dietary advice to follow the food pyramid and lower my cholesterol was ignorant on their part and specifically designed to keep me fat and unhealthy and one more paycheck for the pharma industry tjl I died. I've trusted nothing since and it ultimately led me to #Bitcoin
Realising that in all choices, inaction is a conscious choice and must be recognised as a decision path
That’s a huge perspective change for a lot of people 💯

Similar in thinking to that, was me realizing that procrastinating to get something done is just being an asshole to my future self.
When I learnt that suffering is an integral part of the human experience and that most of our problems stem from trying to avoid suffering.
+ add to that: most people don't have anything to suffer FOR. So they resort to narcissism.
Dude! Followed. I’ll unfollow so I can follow you a second time.

Very few understand this! 💯
 😅 🙏
a bit depressing as an answer, but during covid, that a frightening number of people will do whatever they are told and then rationalize it post hoc, no matter how completely insane or evil the instructions are.
That stopping alcohol and caffeine would completely change how well I feel and think.
That evolution has a speed and accelerates with the speed of information exchange. Evolution defined as the continuous discovery of opportunities.

That sound money maybe the only great filter. If a species can survive past the previous 100 years of our history before btc then it is in the clear. With the risk exponential weighted to the tail end.
I learned that when under stress I default into believing that my identity is tied up in whether what I am doing is "good" or "bad" or that I change my behavior to avoid risking vulnerability. When I take a beat I realize that this is stupid and that what I do or its results does not reflexively modify my identity. Rather, I can remember who I am and then act for the purpose of leading to serve and impact from a place of security knowing that it won't always work out but that I've improved my chances of leading positively when I am not operating from a place of insecurity.
Bitcoin allowed me to have a better life style. I've also started this naural regime, I no longer eat artificial sugars and I find this being pretty easy. Now I'm cutting on grains.

Looking forward to see the changes.
