Sonntagmorgen - hatte wieder mal Text Schnipsel im Kopf ... Ich feier mich gerade selbst für die Line:
doch so ist hier unser ganzes System gebaut,
was du hast wird dir im handumdrehen' geraubt.

These are portfolio-quality shots! When you show them together like this it would be even better if you change exposure and whitebalance in post so that they better with together.
They are not reading from a single relay. They are reading from a single caching service (https://github.com/PrimalHQ/primal-caching-service) that connects to the relays.
This is a centralizing factor but the service is open source and could be self hosted. I don’t know of anyone doing it though.
I think this would also help with WoT to maybe rank IRL connections higher than online follows.
I do have concerns in terms of privacy. A user has no influence over what information is published about him or to which groups he is publicly assigned. You couldn’t even delete leaked information.
Technically there are no connections between the relays in the protocol. Notes can be moved between relays but there is no P2P layer (yet) that moves these notes.
Each User connects to their own set of relays (maybe better use a user icon in combination with the app icon). One user/app should connect to multiple relays.
Ohh I did send that unfinished thought 😂
I think it's a general "problem" with open source software that most devs just do what they find interesting, what is fun or exciting and new. People often do this work for free and their spare time because they have fun doing it.
Writing production ready software, optimizing UX, testing, fixing bugs and rolling out a solid product to a large audience is hard and tedious work. This is what developers usually don't like to do and what companies need to pay them for a substantial amount of money.
This is also something where the support of a product team can help with motivation working towards are shared goal.
Have you seen https://slidestr.net ? If you would establish a hashtag people could browse images with that tag, eg. https://slidestr.net/tags/photography
You could also have people just mention your account to submit images and you would just repost all the best submissions.
My 2 sats...
- The "most visible button" is wallet on the top right. I want to click it right away - but I'm already there. maybe no color here?
- drop the scrolling banner and replace it by a static warning banner, that I can close / hide. IMHO it pulls to much attention.
- drop "welcome stranger", maybe add "Balance:" instead
- most wallets center the balance (might look better)
- the logout needs to go somewhere else (top bar menu?)
- Make the copy buttons bigger for lightning addresses (all buttons need to work for fat fingers)
- Make all icons bigger, and also make sure they look the same size (the history icon looks bigger than the withdraw icon)
- Maybe add color to the buttons in the bottom. They look less important than the "Wallet" and the copy buttons.
Anonymous in what way? It would definitely make sense to have more relays in Brazil but I’m not sure if they could be scrutinized more easily. Maybe accessing international relays would be safer.
Hardly any https://nostr.watch/
But they still can use the international ones. Nostr relay connections look like regular website request on the network.
Good point. We have most of the parts but someone needs to put it together into an easily deployable package.
- a nostr relay (strfry, nostream or nostr-rs-relay)
- a media server (blossom / nip96)
- a proxy server with public domain name
- an admin UI to configure everything
https://lumina.rocks and my client https://slidestr.net try to filter media content only. We are currently just using images from regular social posts. It’s a start but not a fully fledged instagram.
