When your businesses are located in a country, you want to influence politics in that country because it influences how your business does.
I own a business, but live outside of the city and that means I can't have an effect on the policies that effect my business. It is not good.
I think the saying, "Writing checks your bank can't cash" is applicable here.
Between massive debt, driving the good soldiers out with clot shot mandates, giving away all of our weapons and ammo to Ukraine and others, and putting wokism over readiness, I don't think the US is the powerhouse they used to be and I am concerned that they (we) are going to find out the hard way.
I like the old saying, "If someone was trying to convict you of being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?" I'd argue that the answer is "No" for most people who call themselves Christians. It's sad.
I'm waiting on my luggage from yesterday as well. We checked 2 bags and they lost both. It took them a little shy of a day to find it. We had a direct flight and arrived 2 hours before our flight.
I used to enjoy flying, but hate it now.
We spent more than an hour on chat (after ~30 minutes on the phone where they would repeatedly hang up on us because it was more than 24 hours since the flight landed). We kept asking the lady "Do you know where our bags are, or not?" In more than an hour she never answered the question.
She'd reply, "You have to understand, I am a baggage specialist. I don't look for the bags. I can only tell you the status."
Yeah, then please tell us the status.
After an hour and 10 minutes, she ended the conversation with, "We have 24=48 hours to tell you where your bags are, so you need to wait 48 hours."
It would have been preferable for her to tell us that an hour ago, so we wouldn't have been late for my Dad's birthday dinner.
The good news is we finally got our bags after 30 hours of them refusing to give us a straight answer about anything. I wish I could never fly again, but with family on the opposite side of the country, I kind of have to occassionally.

I am absolutely shocked she became the nominee. I didn't think anyone, left, right, or center liked her. She is dumb as rocks. She is hateful and corrupt. She slept her way to the top. She has less than zero charisma. It looks like the Dems were really certain that Trump would be taken out and they are falling apart.
If I were her, I'd be watching my back and go back to the old days of having a food taster.
Great post! Welcome to NOSTR.
My youngest has Down Syndrome and had a bunch of major health problems when he was little. Because he needed my attention so much, it was easy to give what little energy I had to him alone. (His health problems included frequent breathing problems, so I never once went into a deep sleep for 2+ years and therefore was barely functioning.) Because it was so hard to give anything to my older son or my husband, I had to schedule them in. I always devoted 30 minutes to my eldest son, every afternoon during my youngest's nap time. It would be tempting to use this time to get household chores done or to try to rest, but even though my oldest was pretty self-sufficient, he still needed Mom time. I've never regretted that time with him and we are close to this day. (He is now in college.)
That is a start, but I sure hope her resignation doesn't lead to everyone ending the investigations into what happened. I have doubts that she is smart enough to coordinate what happened, and I know she can't have done it all by herself. I'm worried she will just be a fall guy used to end the investigation.
Meeting with all 3 makes sense. I do have a problem with any foreign leader speaking to Congress.
Congress is supposed to represent American citizens, not foreign interests. No foreigner should be allowed to stand up and tell (or beg) Congress what to do. I don't care who the person is or which country they represent. It is wrong.
A foreign leader can meet with government officials. A foreign leader can even give a speech on American soil, but they should not do it from the floor of Congress.
I was going to say that there are plenty of good paying welding jobs in the oil fields in Wyoming and Wyoming doesn't have a state income tax, but if the mid west is too far from family, Wyoming is way too far.
That's a nice way to make sure no apartments are available, or if they are, they have zero maintenance and everything is falling apart. This all happened with rent control in NYC (among other places).
I just read an article on Mercola.com about a new AI, Perplexity.ai, that does some things differently to try to prevent the hallucinations and lies that some of the AI tell. It also gives every answer with sources, so you can verify the information. It also recommends additional, related topics to investigate.
I had just written an article on God's definition of marriage, so I asked it, "What does the Bible say about the purpose and design of marriage?" I was really impressed with its answer and the suggested follow up questions.
Although I would never trust AI to give me the perfect answer to a spiritual question, this one worked well enough, it could be useful for research or getting started on an idea.

And she has a history of using government force against her opponents. If we get President Harris, the attacks on political opponents will get significantly worse.
Have fun and thanks for helping more people become gun lovers. The more gun owners and the more people who are comfortable using guns, the harder it will be to take away our gun rights.
The US has been able to get away with massive dollar creation because it has been the world reserve currency and almost all, if not all nations, hold dollars in reserve. These dollars are out of circulation and therefore don't cause the inflation that would normally occur. The foolish people in charge are using the dollar as a weapon (first seizing Russia's USD reserves and then transferring them to Ukraine) as well as other events, right when the world is starting to move away from the dollar (many nations petitioning to join BRICS, Saudi Arabia selling oil in other currencies, etc.)
The weaponization of the dollar is going to make all of these nations dump their dollars because they don't want their dollars seized if they displease the US .
What happens when all of those dollars come home? The most likely effect is massive inflation, maybe even true hyper inflation.
The self-important morons in charge are destroying the dollar that gives them the power they so greatly desire. Things never end well with fools and the US has been led primarily by fools for most of my life and the number of fools as well as the level of foolishness has been growing exponentially.

I'd argue there are much fewer than a third in state 1 (sadly probably <10%) and also less than a third in state 3. I'd bet more than half are in the wishy washy middle that have no real moral compass and usually just follow the crowd.
Speaking of paid relays, are there any good relays that I should consider paying to join? I feel like I should support them. With my long form posts, I'd like them to be around for a long time after all of the work I've put into them. What makes sense?
When I go to nostr.wine, it tells me it is 18,888 sats to join. Is that forever, a year, a month, or something else. If that is forever, it is a no brainer. If it is a year, it is almost as certain. If it is something shorter, I'll have to decide what I want to do. I'll run out of sats in my alby wallet pretty fast. I can't find details on what I'm paying for.
The problem is that Kamala Harris isn't senile, but is as dumb and radical as someone who is. President Harris would be worse than a senile President Biden, so they are limping along till the election hoping those behind Biden can keep it together for a few more months.
Always a critical fact to remember.
People also need to remember that when asked about right and wrong or how something should work, an answer of "I think ...", "I believe ...", or "I feel ..." is making yourself God. The only correct answer is "The Bible says ...".
It makes zero sense that people hate something so much that the supposedly don't believe exists. I do not believe anyone can have that kind of hate towards something that doesn't exist. God/Jesus does exist and they can't stand it because it means they aren't free to do as they please. There is a higher authority and there is someone smarter and more powerful than them.
We are in the last days and I truly believe time is short. I can't say whether it is days, months, or years, but I will be shocked if I live to an old age and the rapture hasn't come. All of the technology necessary to make the end times prophecies come true are either here, or in almost ready development.
I keep telling myself I don't need to read anymore on the Trump shooting, but then find an interesting article that shows more and more errors to the level that it is unfathomable that they were all just incompetence.
This article even says they talked to Crooks 40 minutes before the event when he was using a range finder to check his range to the stage. Insane.

I don't know any details on the divorce, but is there any chance he divorced his wife to protect his family once he realized how hard they were going after him? Just a thought.
I don't necessarily believe that is what happened, but I like to attribute good to a good man like that. It could be a little bit of both: she was unhappy with his continued stance leading to discomfort for them all and he wanted to protect his family.
That is weird. Everything law enforcement has done with this situation hasn't made sense. That is true for the Secret Service, State law enforcement, and FBI.
It is especially incomprehensible when you see someone say the experts are lying/wrong in one area, but then say something else must be true because the same expert says so. Shouldn't they question the truthfulness and/or expertise of someone they know has been wrong multiple times before?
We've all been there. As long as you admit your mistake and learn it isn't a big problem. It is those who continually make the same mistake never learning or those who double down on their mistakes that are a problem.
I wish I could remember who was interviewed on the The Survival Podcast, but there is a guy/group working on software to help with all of that based on your zip code. I probably heard the interview close to a year ago, so I would think it is at least somewhat functional now. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the guy or the group.
Yeah, we live in the mountain west and my family live on the East Coast. Flying is a pain. When my son was young, he went through a phase where he loved trains. We looked into taking a train instead of a plain. I can't remember exactly, but want to say it was several thousand dollars per person and 2-3 days travel. We would've had to drive 5.5 hours from our home just to get to the train. We quickly decide it was a no go.
We live with a train track running along the edge of our property. I've thought it would be awesome to get a caboose or cabin car, build a little offshoot track to store the car on, and hook onto passing freight trains. It sounds awesome, but even if we spent the money to buy the car and build the off-shoot track, I have doubts on being able to schedule pickup by a passing train. I don't think it will ever be a reality, but I can dream.
