I mean, to be fair, I demand I be the woman my husband loves and adores most especially because I get to be as is, and that is seemingly perfect for him, same as he is for me. I want to be better and whatever needs improving because I love me. That he does too is just kinda fantastic.
Is that what you meant or no?

If you've never been to the Target on Jantzen Beach then you maybe don't quite understand just what is going on on Jantzen Beach.
Sure it's just one snapshot, but for the folks who know it, it's no bueno.
Times they are a changing. Not just with Mother Earth, but with nature's ability to nurture.
@58606072
If you actually want it solved, you have to consider both sides.
Just because someone is suffering from something doesn't necessarily mean the one profiting is a problem.
@a2f3726b
Enabler. :)
It's the same under my roof. Certain spots on the couch are no longer for us to use without attitude, and even then said dog will sit and stare at you til you move.
Certain pillows are squished beyond recognition. Memory foam, you say? Yup, those pillows remember the dog's shape. Not ours.
This is fine. Everything's fine. Wouldn't have it any other way.
@b5cdaf1a
Much as I don't want to see news like this, we all need to see more news like this so we are constantly reminded of the situation. We need to do something about it. Ignorance is not bliss.
@b7802b02 That's so exactly spot on. Folks need to raw-dog life. Being a pill-popper, in my professional opinion, is no different than supporting the current minimum wage. Yeah I said it.
@2a70c54d I'm curious how that might change throughout your career. There was a time I'd take any client from any industry. Last few years, I'm partial to a few specific ones and there's several I just won't touch again. PPP loans kinda spoiled my appreciation of certain ethics in certain industries. If I don't feel good about the owner, I don't care what salary they're offering. I actually like to sleep at night.
@b541bfe5 I love that. Thanks for sharing.
Once new a guy that would see 6 o'clock but come back and say the thing cost $5.
No wonder he was always an hour late and a dollar short.
@339afc2d Much as I love today's headlines, I am very much curious and somewhat concerned about how certain neighbors in the community will respond.
Hopefully everyone will just stay calm and peaceful. We are each in this together for the betterment of a world we are meant to be part of. Respect yourselves and all others, regardless of their individual ideals.
@85aba34a My $20 Yoda squishy from Costco has now become our chug's floor bed. Sorry, ONE of our chug's floor beds. I'm not to keen on this. Yoda was mine.
@872ab8e1 I'm curious how many people would die of tetanus if not for the vaccination that somehow lasts a whole decade. Do people actually die of tetanus? (ignorance here, surely) What about rabies? How many household pets actually die from rabies, and why can't that vax be a one and done instead of every two years.
@b5cdaf1a You really think those fundme sites are legit? It's just another way those w/ less have learned how to scam those w/ more. Sure, healthcare can be a joke in the USA. But w/ experience comes the knowledge that some folks just don't deserve to be first in line for treatment when there's others actually trying to better their lives. Big pharm messed this up for lots of worthwhile people. A regular person w/ normal issues shouldn't have to wait for services b/c the junky ran out of meds.
@5e7f4176 Let's interview the folks that actually shut the thing down. Where's their accountability? It's one thing for your boss to demand you do something questionable. It's quite another that you actually do it.
@53de482a Psychiatrists are funded by big pharm. You want to be a pill popper your whole life or you want to figure out what's troubling you and grow from there?
Get a psychologist instead, or even just a therapist with a skillset in your mindset. You'll be much better off.
I'm no doctor, though.
@56440538 Agreed. I wonder as well given they enjoy their bookstores together. What set that one apart from the others?...I'll venture there one day and check it out myself. I love a good bookstore.
Edit: A bit curious that you first mention the black and brown faces on the bookcovers though. Neither of the two is caucasian, so it's not a race thing. Maybe you've heard similar remarks and that's the one that rings most true?
@85aba34a Last month I learned my favourite artist (some 22 years now) is/was an alcoholic with severe depression, those despite her beautiful facade of happiness and a powerhouse of lungs. I had always found peace in her music. Thousands of hours listening to her, went to a handful of live concerts...I guess I never knew the lyrics or I was subconsciously comforted that she was just like me. I was living a lie while she sang about hers. It's one thing to listen, quite another to hear.
@f3257070 Until then, I'll just keep adding 1x2 post-its of scribblescrabble all over my desk. There's a plan here somehwere, folks. And I assure you it is perfection.
@56440538 My kid was just there with his mate. They weren't comfortable with the store's atmosphere, made them uncomfortable. They left and went to Barnes & Noble instead.
My kid's a Marine, and so his is lady friend. Something to think about, yeah?
