 Everyone should get a COVID booster this fall, CDC says

Not everyone is at the same risk, but advisors called for simplicity and equity.

Equity? Newage terms to kill the white man
 @872ab8e1 CDC proves once again that even a broken clock can be right twice a day.

I am surprised a hospital association or a funeral industry group didn't bribe the #CDC into saying we don't need vaccines at all, to drive up hospital price gouging.

Like the kind of bribes they obviously got from the airlines in previous years.
 Boost deez nuts nigga
 @872ab8e1

Actually, the spokesperson said just the opposite (note bottom paragraph):

"Matthew Daley, MD, who led the ACIP's updated COVID shot working group, said the team started with a blank slate regarding whom the recommendation should target and was led by the data in making the universal recommendation it put before ACIP today.

"He noted there are serious illnesses and deaths across all age-groups, even among those who aren't in traditional risk groups."
 @872ab8e1 I'm curious how many people would die of tetanus if not for the vaccination that somehow lasts a whole decade. Do people actually die of tetanus? (ignorance here, surely) What about rabies? How many household pets actually die from rabies, and why can't that vax be a one and done instead of every two years.
 @872ab8e1 Thank goodness they didn't run with that earlier BS from a spokesman claiming no one under 75 should get it. Coming from the CDC, that's dumber I can even put into words. Given that the vote to recommend boosters for virtually everyone was almost unanimous with only one person voting against it, I bet we know exactly who was that one.

BTW, a lot of people should probably look up the "Bridge" program.
