Deliberation vs Impulsiveness

That time america saw the word cache (place to store valuable things) and thought "let's rename our currency from dollar to THAT!"

Trick question! Only without push notifications can the others be considered a "notification" layer

🎯 Push notifications are primarily focused on getting your attention in real-time, which can snowball quickly to being a big distraction
Allocate dedicated comm time in your life (pull style), and then limit push-comms all the rest of your time to focus on & enjoy who you're with
It's a natural reaction to eroding wealth, not so much an addiction as a misunderstanding about why their wealth erodes and what should be the IMO proper reaction: outrage 😉
Work hard so you can have good food (or whatever other consumption you value) now **with savings left over**
Use the savings to eventually ensure you can always eat good food (or have whatever else you wish to consune) even after you work, until you pass away.
Don't harm anyone in the process, it's not necessary for success
The bigger challenfe isn't folks who don't care abo&t you, it's the ones who care so much about you that they relentlessly try to fix you, despite understanding the core nature of your and their lives completely backwards
Nah we run a profitable household, we just spend the weaker money like fiat currencies, ecash, monero from what we earn first and then don't spend (ie. save) the rest in the stronger money (you know the one..)
Garbage is a terrible costly money, but like any commodity it technically works. Nevertheless, I don't let it pile up in my home. I'm not an anti seller of homes though! We just dispose of other things first 😉
It's right there in the name, peer to peer electronic cash. A cache of munitions, of data, of jewelry isn't meant to convey transactionality, but rather storage
Deliberation about spending is a function of time, so storage is IMO more important than transactionality.
BTMs plus a self custodial wallet of your choice is simple and quick to startup (Cake, Bluewallet, Green, Aqua, Mutiny to name a few of many)
Or @bisq or Robosats might match you with a sellers bank account you can just deposit paychecks into (semi-trusted counterparty deal)
Or go straight to timelocked multisig cold savings for now with a test UTXO, figure out the weekly expense wallet later. Periodically reuse the test UTXO to test the wallet with a self transfer each year or whatever
If the kid is working legally in a fiat jurisdiction, they're already effevtively KYCd, and doing this won't hide the fact that the checks are likely going into bitcoin, but immediately cashing out to self custody what doesn't need to be in a bank is a great habit!
*Someone* spent the energy & earned the value the money represents. If it wasn't you, and the money wasn't a gift, then using your time & energy to get the money anyway is unethical
I like to ask them to imagine a society where everyone knew how much money everyone else got paid with full transparency. Normie brains can't handle that kind of thought experiment 🤣
The phrase "making money" is as linguistically insidious as the bastardization of the word cache.
