 I believe that Satoshi did an outstanding job at remaining anonymous. I’m grateful that was the decision in that case. 

I’m grateful on the flip side for folks like Snowden because without being public I doubt he would have reached maximum impact.

Satoshi was not targeted at the time; I doubt he would have been able to pull it off if being actively targeted back then.

(that said, even post-facto, not having screwed up at the time and leave a trail that could have been picket up is mind blowing)
 
 The silence from intelligence agencies around the world is deafening though, so I'm not convinced satoshi is as anonymous as the mythology suggests 
 I’ve heard good arguments for this theory. Bitcoin has been given a chance to succeed so hopefully the outcome is outstanding no matter what the truth about Satoshi is. 💜
