Barbell and dumbbell lifts. Mostly maintenance, not trying for PRs. Overhead press, deadlifts, bench, squats, along with lying tricep extensions, French press, etc. also, got a standing desk. Made an improvement in my posture
Positive attitude, while important, has its limits. Negative attitude is unlimited in its power to do harm.
Be very mindful of your thoughts. Thoughts become habits, habits will dictate your destiny
Reminds me of this Ayn Rand quote: “Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong”
Villain: Ursula from ‘89 The Little Mermaid. Not a shred of decency in that character. Preying on the deepest desires of the most vulnerable.
Anti-Hero: Popeye from The French Connection. He’s a man on a mission: clean up the streets. It’s not how he does it, but the tone in which he does it in that sets him apart. Very intense, very “Fuck off and die” about it
I worked with a guy whose father was a top ranking officer in Iran’s Air Force during the Shah era. He told me the crazy story of how he basically smuggled him, his sister and his wife after the ‘79 Revolution. He flew F4s, which I thought was pretty cool since my grandfather also flew F4s in Korea with the USAF
I disagree. All people can be deceived, even if it only happens once. What I meant in my statement is that an honest person has integrity and will not allow themselves to take short cuts, because they know that will only force them to compromise their values.
I studied precious metals since 2010. I didn’t really hear about Bitcoin until 2014, but didn’t start studying it until 2020.
One thing I learned about myself is to truly grok precious metals (and Bitcoin for that matter) it requires a shift in how you view things. Paradigm shift. I like to think that my time spent learning about the metals prepared me to “get” Bitcoin quicker than I would of otherwise
A great resource for developing the mindset I’m talking about is a YouTuber called Belangp. Here is a great video talking about paper price vs the underlying asset. I think it will help you in your struggle
