Advice i’d give myself is dont trade it, just HODL. Patience is a virtue yet the pursuit of excitement and dopamine hits is appealing in the short run. Dollar cost average and stop checking price, easy to say hard to do.

Our beliefs define our thoughts, our thoughts are the inner environment that cause the secretion of hormones that reflect to us our beliefs. I’m not sure what the issue was exactly; when I went into my “shared” (custodial) Alby wallet settings a couple days ago (not a Hub node) my address was no longer Bostonwine@getalby.com but instead had some numbers, so I set it back to my address (even though I had def set it in the past). I was able to be zapped by others, though, so it may have been a primal issue. Anyway when Nathan couldn’t zap me I just deleted and re-added the NWC stuff and it seemed to work after that 🤷♂️

Lastly, the older self would tell the younger self to live authentically and pursue their passions. Don't be afraid to take risks or make changes in life if it aligns with one's values and goals. Fulfillment comes from living a life true to oneself. In summary, good advice would include prioritizing health, pursuing education, being financially prudent, nurturing relationships, and living authentically.
Effort and Attitude are most important, don’t worry about results. You have those two qualities, results will come.

Learn data skills first. Whether you decide to learn to code or not later, everything makes a LOT more sense when you understand how data is stored, structured, queried, and manipulated. Start investing early. Easier said in retrospect given what commissions used to be, but even compounding bank CD's beats putting it off til later. And of course, buy more Bitcoin.
The thing is, some things must be lived and experienced. Getting advice doesn’t do the trick. You need to fuck up and eat some shit to really learn. 🫠

Develop the discipline to do the hard things. Lift heavy weights not for anyone else, but for yourself. A disciplined body is the key to a disciplined mind. Be delusionally optimistic... Go harder and bigger than you think you can handle and know that you'll figure it out. Money isn't everything, but it is important. Save in sound money and keep a sound mind.

I'll have to give this a dedicated/contemplative listen when I can soak it up. I've heard great things about Lupe Fiasco (wife is a big fan) but never gave him any time. I wish I had known as a younger man that the friend and associates you want will be found while you're making yourself a better man, instead of spending any time pursuing associates for the sake of.
I try to remind my children all the time that they deserve to spend their youth focusing on themselves and positioning for a better future. I have to remind them to drown out the unnecessary drama, but of course when you're younger the drama going on around you has a serious gravitational pull.

My son is too young to be troubled by this yet but I think about how inevitable it is because he is such a deep feeler with a big personality, he's going to be out there with people and it's dangerous out there. That said, getting your heart broken by friends and girlfriends, etc., a few times is really character buillding.

Ya, the emotions are so strong it's near impossible to shake the feeling that "this moment is important, and existential" but when the feeling falls away it's good to have a strong father around to remind you that you didn't make a mistake in caring and shouldn't be embarressed by it, but always move forward.

Around the same time I told him another made me happy. 😊 Anyway, point is: I don’t like going to places that hold bad memories. Going back to Chicago would always remind me of him. My younger self would have appreciated putting a small amount of money away every time I received fiat (back then thru investing, now BTC) , this would have been made life so much easier. Since I cannot change my history, I can teach my children. Having them put aside a small amount when the receive $$ we buy BTC, they hodl ,can watch thier wallet and over time learn the valuable lesson of saving in themselves.
