It bothers me that we call them liberals
The people that wanted a leftist police state are nothing close to liberal
Venting here bc I know crazy Uncle Erik will have something insightful and sympathetic to add
Copium.
The way America votes is arcane opaque and does not garner trust. Full stop.
It’s pathetic. No serious engineer would design it this way.
Dems design it so they can cheat.
Just saw the video of the guy that asks the boomer lady to sign a petition for illegal immigrants. Then he brings them in on a bus and invites them into her house.
What is the name/channel #asknostr
What are the clients/business models you think have the highest chance of success #asknostr
I see a lot of “roads to nowhere” and effectively central planning due to the fact that Dorsey doused nostr in money.
I’m really curious if there’s any organic use cases that are bullish
None of the use cases you mentioned are good use cases for DVMs. You’d be better off running Open Web UI on a laptop and pay $0 marginal cost.
Beyond that component of impracticality: Every DVM interaction is public by default. The PlebAI guy made Pablo add encryption but it’s still retarded because you’re leaking metadata of which services you’re using. Why? The only use cases where a DVM makes sense are ones where you don’t give a shit bc you’re going to share results immediately or where nostr data itself is intensive to the work product. Can’t think of another good reason.
No offense but seems like hopium.
The truth is: I don’t know! That’s part of why I asked. I think the truth is there’s a “bubble” because Dorsey came in too early imo. It artificially spins out projects that don’t have organic need or product market fit.
I think an interesting and more organic direction to go would be things more like usenet in the 90s. Some ideas around this theme:
- Twitter/forums (obviously)
- Academic research and collaboration (fewer rent seeking journals)
- things like encrypting and storing medical data and having it follow the individual
Agreed. Additionally, the schooling system is designed to create good passive consumers that accept authority and follow instructions
Stepping from the consumer to creator mindset is one of the most important steps for liberation.
Ya but the truth is you’re a welfare queen on Sugar Daddy Jack’s payroll at this point so of course you’d say that fiatjaf. The architecture is fucking retarded. Cope harder.
@Boltz - Non-Custodial Bitcoin Bridge PLEASE let me pick which node I swap with or make fat channels between your nodes. It’s like playing whack a mole where the node you receive to changes constantly and I can’t get liquidity to them both simultaneously.
Apparently @Boltz - Non-Custodial Bitcoin Bridge doesn’t want my business.
Have a direct channel to the LND node -> all the invoices route to their CLN node
Close channel and open one with CLN Node -> now it routes to the LND node
Whack a mole. Can’t win. Kind of surprising that y’all haven’t figured this painpoint out. #bitcoin #lightning
Notice how Fountain is lumping themselves in with Wavlake. Probably because the lion’s share is Wavlake and fountain total is paltry.
Not only did they just wholesale copy Wavlake but they’re not even transparent about this. I guess I can’t expect much from a team that thinks closed source KYC wallets are the way.

If I say “between me and Donald trump we have over a billion dollars” that doesn’t strike you as a bit dishonest? I applaud the Wavlake team and I suspect at least 90% of the volume is due to them.
Fountain copied them by adding music to the mix. Not really debatable . Zooming out of the KYC discussion: Being closed source is a pretty big red flag. It speaks more to the founder’s mentality and feeds more into the point above. I have other data points from people around me about the founder of Fountain’s integrity so maybe be a bit more cautious in your advocacy for them Guy.
I love you guy but be honest did you Angel invest in Fountain or something? I’ll be able to find out the truth either way but transparency helps.
Guy that type of motivated reasoning is all over the place in bitcoin podcasting. You even do shows with people that do stuff like that . You’re not responsible for their actions but don’t act like that’s such a crazy concept to question people’s support of certain projects. Half the podcasts these days exist only to promote VC projects.
To be clear I don’t really think it’s pure dishonesty, it’s usually just sunk costs and motivated reasoning.
I suspected you would never do something like that but I had to ask since you wrote me a seven paragraph thing about an app that’s pretty mediocre by a founder I don’t respect. Agree to disagree. Sorry I pissed you off it sincerely wasn’t my intention. I hope you have a great weekend praying for you 🙏

Cope harder. You couldn’t trace the payment and neither could anyone else.
You can’t even explain how it would be done let alone do it. You don’t know shit about the LN. Maybe just don’t comment on shit your clueless on?
You’re just dug in cuz your Monero shitcoin is obsolete.
I’m not listening to a two hour podcast from some fag wearing a gator who does not give a fuck about privacy at all.
State in three sentences the attack vector or stfu. If you use lightning correctly it is superb privacy.
What are you go to sites for gig work/dev stuff? Open to #bitcoin stuff but seems like there’s aggressive cost cutting as of late so open to other stuff such as #ai or general purpose #saas stuff
#asknostr
If I were a fed I would create #nostr so that I could sequester all #bitcoin discussion into a circle jerk and prevent new people from learning about bitcoin. Just contain them and maybe even run relays to spy on them and hunt them down IRL.
Don’t #grownostr .
And most Nostr Bitcoiners are either wittingly or unwittingly pumping bags for VC shills so they can make a return on a technology that is as impressive as RSS. It’s nice but it’s not freedom. The relays and tech oligarchs can censor you.
Social media is fake and gay. Touch grass.
Not only that but you’re taking away incentives and productive assets so that it can go toward bombing five year olds in Yemen.
Communism: not even once.
The sad truth is that most of you here saying you “support” people working on #freedomtech are LARPing.
I’ve been around tons of founders. They’re busting their asses and most of them are doxxed so they’re sitting ducks for tyrants. Tons of people go out of their way to walk up shake their hand and say they “support” those founders. But when it’s time to shell out a little bit of dough they’re no where to be found.
I’m a praxeologist meaning it’s all about action for me. If you don’t actually support these services they will not exist. @OpenSecret is a perfect example case study. Those guys busted their ass and very few of you actually bought Mutiny+.
Zaps for developers is a LARP. That will take at least half a decade to manifest if at all. Your 69 sat donation will fund approximately 3 microseconds of dev time. Sorry but not gonna cut it. You all have to stop being cheap bastards. I love to #hodl #bitcoin too but it’s the truth guys.
That said you don’t have to support every project the VC podcasts shill you. Just maybe 1 or 2 in a meaningful way. #mytwosats
#grownostr
@Start9 I will preface with I love your mission and cypherpunk ethos.
But seriously did anyone actually think through or use the Sparrow package? The UX for importing a wallet is terrible. Do I seriously have to ssh into my machine and docker exec just to drop in the json wallet descriptor? This sucks.
Maybe there’s an easier way I’m not seeing?
I’m not a #nostr maximalist. I’m a touch grass and lift heavy objects maximalist.
Social media is for fags. It just trains you to either:
- simp for validation
- turn other humans into objects you extract value from
- become the object which has value extracted from it
or some combination thereof. I’m for a communications layer that has censorship resistance but keep in mind all these influencers trying to push this shit hard are VCs with heavy bags hoping nostr works. Their propaganda attempts are actually kind of funny and pathetic when you realize that.
I emailed them and all I got back was a surly retard that doesn’t understand how anything works. It’s a disgrace. As far as I’m concerned they stole $50 from me.
It’s sad because I had respect for Ben Price but clearly he doesn’t have his team on point. All these Bitcoiners will virtue signal about how their handshake means something and they’re old school blah blah blah. They’re all LARPing. I’m never donating to @OpenSats doing business with @thebtcco or tuning into the rampant VC propaganda @ODELL and @MartyBent are putting out. It’s sad because all they had to do was not be greedy and high time preference but instead they chose to be fake and gay.
1. then your email service is defective and you should have humility about that
2. I signed in with the only lightning wallet I’d ever use for this and the username you posted doesn’t match…so the determinism of that system is also defective
Send me the refund information to DMs please and thank you.
@thebtcco ‘s customer service is god awful. I purchased a Visa card from them and through some glitch never got it.
I gave them a valid preimage and memo containing a receipt ID of what I bought. For those of you that don’t know a preimage proves that you’re the one that paid. I asked them to please refund me or help me get the card and the customer service rep is surly, unhelpful and unresponsive despite the fact. They’ve completely ghosted me! They can’t even do you the common courtesy of responding to an email when you’ve proven you’re a paying customer. This is pathetic guys.
I’m never doing business with them again and neither should you. I guess I’m a Bitrefill man from now on #bitcoin #coffeechain #asknostr #grownostr #customerservicr
If you don’t run a #bitcoin node you have to ask your wife’s boyfriend how much bitcoin you have in between her getting plowed.
Don’t be wake and gay.
Run a node anon.
I know a guy that used to party with Matt and his brother. They were known as complete wild boys and had a party house in SF. Apparently it was written all over them how talented they were. My friend had to tell the mutual friend to stop dick riding so hard. But their talent was undeniable.
That said I doubt they made the series simply because they were devastated their creation wound up helping trump win.
It’s entertaining to watch based Angel investors that just found out about #bitcoin put money behind their values by funding bitcoin companies. They’re doing a lot for bitcoin.
Meanwhile faggots on #nostr & BT just virtue signal and beat their chest how orange pilled they are. All the while watching mutiny and other great projects struggle to get funding.
Couldn’t be me. What a circle jerk. I thank god every day he didn’t make me like a do nothing loser.
#coffeechain #entrepreneurship #asknostr #lightning #technology
1000% agree. I’m on the ground watching really impressive guys put a lot of savings in or work way below market rate to help founders.
Meanwhile VCs are dragging their feet and being bureaucratic even ghosting founders while yakking about all they do for the community.
Encouraged by the former. Wanna see growth from the latter. If you’re just about your bags that’s your right but I’m gonna call it out lol Be better. The freedom of our children depends on it.
I agree with Guy but also I will add that he is the first politician in a long time that doesn’t openly hate the common man. For that reason alone he’s going to be forgiven for this, for not helping the J6ers at all and for hiring John Bolton among other things.
Whatever happened to @MartyBent TFTC articles based on St Onge videos? Those were based. @profstonge
Maybe a victim of the YouTube crackdown?
#bitcoin #based #asknostr
Fair point but if you’re gonna pick a primitive heuristic going against the grain isn’t the worst.
Def don’t like the orange NPC mindset need to take into consideration available facts before jumping to conclusion ALWAYS. That is the real proof of work.
I respect and admire Rusty a lot but Jeff is right here. There is nothing wrong with anything Rusty stated but it is downright dangerous to trust people that’ll just bend over for the dystopia.
This isn’t about politics per se. I would say the same thing if we had W Bush in there trampling on the bill of rights. The truth is the persuasion of people that are Raging on Behalf of the Machine is quite obvious.
Sincere thank you to the German government for their special Olympics routine in giving me cheap sats.
That said I’ll still never forgive you for murdering J Stark.
One of the best thinkers I’ve ever seen on this is Tyler from RSD. You can say his methods are cringe but it’s quite helpful.
He says that life is a lot like a dance class: everyone’s just looking at the mirror to make sure they don’t look dumb and they barely give a fuck what you’re doing.
