Very disagree on this: Statism is based on lies and propaganda, so it can't survive the Information Age. If we say that mass adoption of the internet was around 2010, we can say that humanity got forced fed information for 100% by the government it's entire history until just 14 years ago. Since 14 years humans can talk to each other at scale and the government propaganda systems (mainstream media and public education) are collapsing. Think about how much the overton window has shifted in just 14 years, heavily accelerated over the last 4 years. I think you are stuck in recency bias and can't imagine a drastically changing world. Better open your eyes: Mainstream media is dying, fiat is dying and libertarianism is growing exponentially. Even in erea's with a socialist culture like Europe. The renaissance proved to us that society can massively change through technology and the internet (+#Bitcoin and #Nostr) will be magnitudes more influential than the printing press. Obviously there is a delayed reaction, knowledge won't instantly change things. There is a good case to be made that Covid was peak statism. The long term downtrend in interest rates broke (harder for govs to fund themselves), the unipolar world became multipolar and 'mis-and disinformation became a thing (signals loss of control over propaganda). You take me (as a libertarian) seriously, because you answer me, and political power isn't relevant if people don't believe in politics anymore (where we are heading). Not only a strawman, a very tired and unoriginal one. If you cannot understand the ethical reasons to stay away from politics, at least understand that it is a waste of your time and resources.
