West Germany had 63 million people, and East Germany only 16 Million.
The socialism was homegrown, unlike the antisemitism, which is imported from the middle east.

Regarding your podcasting lifetime achievement award:
There was this Norwegian economist that got the Economics Nobel prize in 1989:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trygve_Haavelmo
At the time, Haavelmo was 78 years old, and it pissed him off, his response was: just give it to someone still working, so the award can be used to leverage their work and impact, don't give it to almost dead people like me.
The day of announcement, instead of showing up at the university, he went hiking the whole day, AWOL!

Just enforce the existing law: Most states have a law requiring you to pull off and let people pass when more than 5 people are behind a slow vehicle.

Marketing scum.
I feel the same about the shrinkflation gang.
It was pretty convenient when the quantities of liquid went in powers of 2.
Pint, quart, half gallon, gallon.
Bit some asshole decided to change the juice from 64oz to 59 oz.
Just increase the fucking price instead.
If I could arbitrarily dish out punishment (like being a medieval king), the marketing people would be first on the list after politicians.

I asked a phlebotomist if he ever had anyone pass out.
He responded no, whenever someone looks like they are about to pass out, he warns them that he will draw on their face with a sharpie if they faint, and that short circuits the fainting response.

Voluntary private exchange is typically GOODS and SERVICES for money.
Government offers BADS and EXTORTION, and not voluntary.
Just like Obama and Biden were what it took to make Carter and Clinton look good, likewise government is what it takes to make Microsoft and Google look good in comparison.
Dudes named Ben;
I have a 6 core Ryzen 5600K desktop, I want to make an always in server for Nextcloud or equivalent, Music server, and Video server like Emby or similar.
Current OS is windows 10 home, with Linux extension.
When I installed Docker plus Nextcloud, I the container keeps restarting, and there doesn't seem to be a webserver on localhost:8080
What's the best approach?
Work out the docker issues, put the servers in Virtualbox VMs, or nuke OS and install Mint or Ubuntu?

It's never really bad, but my feeling is that too warm temperatures make the cider taste bad.
So our fall is good, garage will stay between 50 and 60 (10 -15C) for fermenting, and a bit cooler for aging.
@d8402a8b
I used an ale yeast this time, the theory is that it doesn't make the cider totally dry, will see how it works out.
Also an experiment with using 2 types of juice, one is a premium not from concentrate and unfiltered; Ryan's Apple Cider.
The rest is commodity apple juice from concentrate.
Adding a cup of glucose (aka corn sugar) to each, and half teaspoon of yeast nutrient.
Will see the results when bottling in a month or two.
You can understand that it takes a while for the water to flow away in a totally flat city like Houston, but NYC?
How have they spent the budgets, if there is no hardening of the infrastructure?
@8f56b62c@b31ebbc2
I am pretty pissed off when I see a store with 12 crip spots (Thank you Stephen King for teaching me) and only two of them are used.
@b31ebbc2@34b3698a
It is very hard to find quantitative data on heat pump efficiency across different temperatures, but saying they are superior to resistive heating and gas at -30C (-22F) seems dubious.
If true, why would people in Norway spend tens of thousands USDs to drill down to ground water?
