I hate needles but I just tell the phlebotomist, "I might pass out," and usually they talk to me while doing it and make sure I'm good to go after. No holdups, no special needs. Just want to get it over with, not sit around thinking about it lol

I asked a phlebotomist if he ever had anyone pass out.

He responded no, whenever someone looks like they are about to pass out, he warns them that he will draw on their face with a sharpie if they faint, and that short circuits the fainting response.

I've had some nasty puncture wounds and soldiered on. But needles? Eewww. I've passed out 2x when having blood drawn. I LOATHE them.
