The West was stupid to reunify. 
It harmed their economy, and the East, with a much bigger population, has controlled the Government ever-since, and the German Left is more Socialist than Russia has been since 1992.

West Germany had 63 million people, and East Germany only 16 Million.

The socialism was homegrown, unlike the antisemitism, which is imported from the middle east.
