Capitalism is the natural way to resolve a coincidence of wants & as such capitalism exists even when communism is imposed.
Capitalism has a funny dualism with communism in that pure communism can never be achieved, while pure capitalism can only ever be suppressed. It's ironic that the virtuous goals of communism seem to be only achievable via capitalism & voluntarism. It's only through selfishly pursuing our own goals in a system with aligned incentives that all humans are able to thrive.
Not science fiction. Elements of capitalism exist under what you call corporatism, it's just suppressed via fiat currencies & govt in general.
Capitalism existed where governments didn't exist or were very small. It's been a long time since we had free markets & pure capitalism at scale.
I don't subscribe to much dogma or many labels.
I feel like Christ was the personification of pure love. I feel closest to Christ when I tap into the feeling of being One with everything. It's only when I push aside the feeling of separateness that I feel connected to my Christ consciousness.
When I first started experiencing this I was a blubbery mess with joy. The ego also rejoiced in this feeling of being special but the irony is that it comes from a knowledge of unity rather than separate specialness. So many who experience this feeling end up with a god complex. Mental institutions are full of people who remember that they're Christ but think they're special.
We are each the creators of our own universes from which our consciousness expands.
I'm not sure there's an architect as such, since expansion requires going into the unknown.
I suspect that this earth realm was created by another consciousness & that we have agreed to partake in this experience. While we each focus our consciousness on particular timelines within our own earth experience, there's a consensus of sorts being reached.
It's been 2 years since a lot of us started exploring Nostr.
It's now becoming obvious that it's different to the previous exodus to Masterdon. Many of us are not going back to dedbird & are burning our dedbird accounts.
Nostr has legs & people are having to admit that they got Nostr wrong.
He's correct in saying that Isa has a bigger platform because of her physical appearance. She is beautiful & has a vibrancy to her that's very attractive. That's not to say that she doesn't deserve the love & attention that she gets though. We are all deserving of love & attention.
I think that people should be more careful with their words & let go their judgement. If someone's message doesn't resonate with you, right at this moment, just move your attention elsewhere.
Yes but the trade-off is that it then becomes even harder for folks to be discovered on Nostr.
Replying to people & zapping is a way for a new user to be discovered & build some trust.
Using a WoT to filter replies builds in a kind of invitation system to your social network.
I'm not saying that it's not the best approach but that there are tradeoffs. This is especially true if most clients implement this functionality.
The reply guy isn't the problem.
It's trivially simple to spam Nostr in this way.
I suspect it's a friendly stress test to get people focusing on a solution to it.
Those replies could easily be something really offensive, be grateful they're not.
There's a massive advantage to having kids when your young (20s), even if you think you can't afford them.
With hindsight, I would have married a girl 3-5 years younger than me & pumped out 3-5 kids in my 20's. The earlier you meet your partner, the less emotional baggage you both have.
A lot of it is just habit. Your body becomes used to the hormonal response of eating at certain times.
Fasting is a liberating, educational & healthy practice. The ancients knew the benefits of abstaining & self control of biological drives.
Try to let go of your fear around the situation (it doesn't help you or your son). The best thing you both can do is to let go the fear & follow your intuition. My intuition has always served me in these situations except when I ignored it.
He's going to come across many more people like this in his life. I know it's hard, especially as a mother but you have to trust that things will work themselves out. Your boy is nearly a man although he'll always be a little boy in your mind. You'll always want to shield & protect him but at some point you need to accept that you can't.

I'm not at all doubting your intuition. The problem with intuition is that it gets clouded when fear creeps in.
I suspect that your intuition tells you that this kid is unhinged/dangerous. This feeling combined with the shit on the news brings about a sense of fear (understandably).
All I'm saying is to try and let that fear go before taking any action from here.
Involving LE could make the whole situation worse (this is a woke world still).
You could withdraw your son from the school but that would impact your son & your relationship with him.

You don't really need Nostr for that though, BTC pay server can receive payments in permissionless money.
What Nostr will be good for is a global permissionless marketplace. Think silk road 2.0 but with no single administrator or developer to arrest.
It's going to take more time to implement & iron out the UX but Amethyst already has something running.
For a zap to be recorded the wallet being zapped needs to be nip 57 compatible. The wallet needs to verify that that payment was received.
I've seen a few receiving addresses that aren't recently.
Yeah - it's not common for me to not see the zap (maybe 2%).
Maybe it's a relay issue on your client not seeing the zap event?
Can you list an event or 2 that you've zapped recently but can't see the zap?
When you long press on your zap button have you got your zaps set to Public?
This setting affects all zap amounts that you've setup.
