lol, the best thing about proper backups is that my media server is like 70% setup again. I can go to work and access my audiobooks. I'll do the rest when I get home.
Yeah, my media server is completely fucked. Luckily, I have a couple of recovery options and backups to all the important shit there, and all the media was not lost, of course, because those are on separate disks. But I'm going to have to completely rebuild the operating system here, depending on how good my backups and recovery is.

Sports to radio station is a good client so I was like fuck it I'll do the site but I'm kind of regretting it at this particular moment. I feel less guilty when The site is live and I don't ever have to touch it again. They said they'll take over management, which is fine by me.

I know nostr is a bit of a circle jerk sometimes, and that we have our own dramas and issues, but I am damned glad that this place exists. There is a huge vibe difference between people that actually care about freedom vs whatever the fuck is going on over at Bluesky that I don't really have the words to express it.

I genuinely wouldn't really know where to start. I've kind of been acne prone and have dry skin on my face a lot.
As long as I don't eat too much junk food, the acne seems to stay down. And stress also seems to affect the breakouts as well.

I will say though the one thing that they have going for them is due to their centralized nature they don't have the problems that nostr does when it comes to search and content discovery so there's that.

The point though, this dude is apparently too simple to get, and the point that the seed signer is trying to make is that if they went after people like Coinkite did for forking their project, then the Monero signer would never happen.
It's a legitimate concern. People are stupid as fuck, and will shoot themselves in the foot.
Using an old phone might be simple for us, but for someone completely technologically illiterate, having a purpose-built device is probably a better way to go.

Has anyone ever tried hosting a blue sky instance yet? It would be kind of interesting to see what would happen if we spun up a Bitcoin/ nostr instance.
My guess is it would probably go a lot like the Fediverse where we would be siloed to our own instance pretty quickly because people would block us like crazy. But it could be a fun experiment nonetheless.
