I generally trust him not to be stupid or malicious. But you should always treat it like a service run by someone else… because it is.
Seriously if you are this concerned about how you are using an LLM then just run one locally. Llama3 is available is a bunch of different sizes for whatever machine you have. Even the small ones are decent.
Sure, but he’s been a really solid libertarian for much longer than that. And he also is not against #bitcoin either. I have a lot of respect for him. We disagree about plenty, but his values are in the right place.

A number of groups headed out there. First batches of donations from Nostr are going out today and tomorrow. Sending to groups that I’ve either been recommended from a plethora of different people, and/or that I know and trust someone specifically in the organization.
Then going to get more piece meal about the funds.
The BTC Veterans seem to have an awesome setup together. Trying to be of use to them as well because they will likely be a big help and also a great resource on the ground to confirm things.
Current monetary powers will get increasingly scared as countries pay off debt.

I think it is more likely that their plans will fail due to simply being overwhelmed. The tide is shifting away from them. They will continue to have more battles arise than they can handle, while many of the battles they are already in slowly start turning into losses.
When they were at the peak of their power, they not only had the resources, but also were so dominant that they had few battles. No one stepped out of line because it was clear they would lose. That certainty is falling apart.
Now their resources are being strained, their authority is being questioned, they have massive public criticism and distrust, and people are becoming emboldened to challenge them.
We will win simply by the sheer number and size of the people standing up against them. We don’t need them to be incompetent, we just need to stand beside El Salvador and bring more countries, people, and communities to our mission. Like it always has been.
We will overwhelm them at every layer, at every scale, and from every direction. And all the while we will build to make all of this stronger and more accessible than ever.
These institutions should be avoided like the plague.

That was my second option, but I’d have to import the multisig wallet, since it was still just on the single sig. so I opted for just doing a handful of consolidations.

Very true, you have to take everything with a giant grain of salt. I'm waiting for confirmation from some guys i know who are in the area if they are running into any resistance and if so, what kind and from whom.
It's amazing to me that 100 separate direct reports from citizens on the ground saying that FEMA are in the way and preventing them from getting supplies in are hand waved away by people linking to a report FROM FEMA that says "FEMA is doing great and super helpful."

Venice.ai and select the llama3.1 model. Great option for a big model that you can’t run locally.
Otherwise a local llama3.1 20B is solid if you have the RAM

Honestly can’t tell the difference between Venice, anthropic, and ChatGPT except for I know I hit the context window a little faster on Venice than the others.
But output is generally great. In fact I used OpenAI the other day for chapter markers on my YouTube video and they were completely nonsensical. It was all topics we discussed, but it had exactly zero matching of the time codes despite being throughout the file. Llama (Venice) did a better job, but stopped early on the file because it was a huge transcript. Had to cut it up.
Yeah Venice has a few other things, but also the ability to upload and work with PDFs, text files, etc.
It’s worth it if you use LLMs often enough or in your workflow to have a dedicated LLM provider, imo. The 405B parameter model is pretty damn good. Also interested to try out llama3.2 which dropped like a day ago

Ok, so I finally figured out where to send the funds. The organization that my best friend works for has been working tirelessly since the storm. He finally got back home for a short stretch and sent me a bunch of images, video, and updates. At this point they are just trying to convince people to leave the area because it's going to be literally months before the roads and power are back in order.
