Do not disturb is something I do a lot lately.
Leaving the phone home all day ... brings you back to reality. Your phone can't keep putting you into a quasi phone induced dream state.
The phone pulls you into the digital dream world every 10 minutes or so, never letting your brain fully re-engage with the real world.
We live in this quasi dream state where our attention and engagement with the real world keeps getting overridden with thoughts from the phone.
For me, It seems to take at least 30-60 minutes after turning off the phone before I get my brain fully engaged back with the real world. It takes a while for phone induced thoughts to go away.
Nevermind... found it

### Kid Safe DeGoogled Phones Using GrapheneOS
Setting up a DeGoogled phone for kids can be done fairly easily now using the latest version of GrapheneOS.
The basic steps are as follows:
1. [DeGoogle a phone with GrapheneOS](https://grapheneos.org/install/). GrapheneOS's website is the best place to go for instructions on how to DeGoogle a Google Pixel phone. They offer a couple of intallation methods, and keep everything up to date.
2. [Turn on multi-user accounts](https://www.howtogeek.com/333484/how-to-set-up-multiple-user-profiles-on-android/), & create a "kid's" account, naming the account whatever you like.
4. [Install the apps you want onto the "Owner" account, and push those apps to your child's account](https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/2133-question-about-the-install-available-apps-feature-for-user-profiles) under the multi-user setting.
5. [Remove the GrapheneOS web browser "Vanadium"](nostr:nevent1qqs9wa5er9u5n36nhqdfanluyjaxw7l2q7067qnza7y07smm7vjcffspz3mhxw309ucnydewxqhrqt338g6rsd3e9upzqndled79mkuzf8uu06uvy8spnuy0h7m7ch0d2sytv9zep04c6954qvzqqqqqqyxzlz3q) from the kid's account so they can't surf the Internet.
6. [Install an eSIM](https://grapheneos.org/usage#esim-support) so your kids can't take the physical SIM out and put it into any device they want.

# Remove Vanadium Web Browser for an Individual User
When setting up a kid safe DeGoogled GrapheneOS phone, you don't want them having Internet access, so you will need to remove the system Vanadium web browser from their account.
To do this
1. First Install standalone platform-tools (adb tool) according to the [Graphene OS Install website](https://grapheneos.org/install/cli).
2. Make sure phone is in USB-Debug Mode.
3. Reset the USB debugging authorizations on the phone if the command `adb devices` says `device unauthorized`
4. Start the adb shell with `adb shell` command.
5. List apps installed to get name of default browser app: `pm list packages`
- On GraphenOS it is `app.vanadium.browser`
- On LineageOS it is `org.lineageos.jelly`
6. list the users with `pm list users` and get the user's ID number, which will be the number in front of the User's name.
>For example in the line `UserInfo{10:User1:410}`, the user ID is `10`, and the username is `User1`.
8. Uninstall Vanadium for the user with this command `pm uninstall -k --username 10 app.vanadium.browser` but beware, you can't reinstall, at least until next system update.
9. To install Vanadium use this command `pm install --user 10 app.vanadium.browser` where `app.vanad8um.browser` is app you want to push to user 10.

I now ... right? But people never want to be wrong, so they refuse any suggestions you offer.
It's probably better to use Marxist tactics on them, and guide their thoughts so they think the thought themselves. If they think the thought and discover adblock without you telling then, they will become an adblock activist because it was "their" thought, not yours, and people never want to be wrong.
I've been ad free since 2000-ish, back when the Adblock add-on for Firefox came out.

For those that do know how to TOR, you can just assume TOR is compromised.

Open up coracle.social in Brave Browser, go to:
Settings --> Save and share --> Install
That should put an icon on your desktop and a menu entry in your taskbar menu that will open Coracle as a webview app.
At least that's how it works in Linux Mint.

### Pixel Phone OEM Parts From iFixIt
Ironically Google Pixel phones are some of the best phones for DeGoogling.
Until recently it has been hard to get genuine parts for Google phones, but as of about two years ago (2022), iFixit now has genuine parts for Google phones.
No more taking chances buying cheap Chinese communist scam parts online made with questionable quality.

### Orbot - Open Source TOR/VPN for DeGoogled Phones
The [Guardian Project](https://guardianproject.info/) brings us [Orbot](https://orbot.app/), a free app for connecting to the TOR network, using the F-Droid App store, if you have [The Guardian Project's Official Repository ](https://guardianproject.info/fdroid/) installed in F-Droid. You can also find Orbot on the Nostr [zap.store](https://zap.store).
Rob Braxman mentioned it briefly in a video, so we decided to look into it. It is super easy to use. You install it, open it, and tap start to connect the Tor Network
You can enable or disable the "VPN Mode" to send all of your phone's data through Orbot essentially creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection for your device. You can even select which apps it channels, or not, and which country you appear to be from.
Some downsides are:
- Slower connection speeds
- A lot of sites will refuse your connection
- ALL of your encrypted personal data will be bounced around the world giving foreign bad actors easier access to it
You can toggle it on & off with a single tappity, tap, tap
This 👉 [video explains how to use Tor on your phone, w/Orbot](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tiNsca8mdls) @ 7:45.

### FUTO Voice Input Speech-to-Text Android Keyboard
(Open Source, not FOSS)
Did you know Google's voice to text app records and saves everything you say into it . . . forever? Yikes! No thanks.
Fear no more. Louis Rossman, and the FUTO organization he works for, have finally released their voice recognition app for Android phones.
The app is called Voice Input. It is based on OpenAI Whisper, which is really good. This means it does capitalization, punctuation, & works better than Google's offline version
This is the solution we've been waiting for! No Internet access needed. It's all done locally on your phone
The Voice Input app is open-source, but it's not FOSS, and has a very, very limiting license
Here is 👉 [the FUTO F-Droid repo](https://app.futo.org/fdroid/repo/).
You can download the app directly from the [FUTO company website](https://voiceinput.futo.org).

Research Disability Marxist Critical Theory.
Basically everyone that the Marxists claim are being "oppressed" are also labeled as "disabled".
So in Marxism, all the identity intersectionalities are falsely labeled as "disabled". (women, homos, transvestites, people with darker skin pigmentation, poor people, non-Christians, etc.. etc..)
Would Moa hold Bitcoin? What kind of commie nonsense is that?
And that is the Communist raised fist on the cover of the other book. No thanks to anything with a commie twist.
Blackrock (and Vanguard, and State Street) gets all of their money from yours and everyone elses 401K investments. They all push cultural Marxist ideology onto corporations.
I stopped paying into 401K plans because i'd this. I don't care if my employer matches any money.
This is like banks that holds your money in saving and give you 0.1% interest while they loan your money out at 7-12% interest, over and over, up to 12 times, essentially making 100% interest or more on your money.
And people fall for the scam in mass.
Yes it does.
I recently had the same experience with Coracle.social with the "Add to Home screen" feature in Mull browser.
Note: Mull is Firefox that comes with all the privacy tweaks out of the box.
