My perspective is it’s good to speak out against things that are evil or unwise. It leaves room for people to choose many different positive things TO do. It is more respecting of freedom and individual choice.
Telling someone what TO do is important for guidance. But telling someone what not to do is important for boundaries. I see both as necessary in everyday life as well as churches, since you brought them up.
In no particular order (and I may come back with more):
Hickory nut rind, it’s the smell of the forest for me (other good ones are sweetgum leaf and tulip poplar leaf)

Myrrh

Clay and glaze tend to have a subtle particular smell (not reclaim, which is stinky, but the fresh stuff)

REALLY good black, green, and oolong teas.
Some oolongs could be perfumes in their own rights.
Also
Narcissus / daffodil and Carolina Jessamine (unrelated but smell similar to each other)
Probably lotus flower (never actually smelled one, but some lotus scented teas are beautiful. Others smell awful. Idk what that deal is)
Would love to see more perfuming stuff on Nostr. @LeatherMint is interested in branching into colognes someday, for example.

Possibly. Short term goal is just post about all items for sale on Nostr. Long term goal is build a website of my own. Shopstr is a possibility in the middle somewhere as I continue to check it out.

1. Weird thing -- even after refreshing and hitting Load More, Shopstr says I have many messages (62 in this pic) but also says I have no messages.
2. Is it planned to display usernames instead of npubs at some point? I think it would be a good idea.

My mother in law told me there used to be a house around here that made hundreds of jack o lanterns. There was even a magazine article about them. I think they stopped in 2020, though.

Treat em like pecans. Hickory pie or bars? Hickory crusted fried chicken with hot honey? Just roast them, or roast and candy them? Hickory butter?
My rice wine was about to overflow, so I pipetted some off and had a sample!
It is INCREDIBLY SWEET 🥵 too sweet to drink.
It also has a funky flavor I wish it didn’t have. But it also has a nice fruity flavor.
It reminds me of some of my less favorite makgeolli (I like makgeolli but some is better than others… unfortunately the tastier ones have artificial sweeteners I don’t want to drink anymore 😅.)
Wine makers: I imagine it will become drier the longer I let it ferment, yes?
Will a longer ferment also make funky flavors go away?
