I went on a rant this morning against people who say if it doesn’t bring you comfort or happiness walk away. Some of the things in life that will bring you the most comfort and happiness may take periods of work, difficulty, and being uncomfortable to achieve. I didn’t look at my most recent spinal surgery like that. It felt like the only way out was through. I appreciate your perspective. Really hoping I personally don’t need it anytime soon. I hope you heal well. Slow and steady wins the race. 🐢
My dog hurt her leg last night, her good leg. She previously tore her CCL, the canine equivalent to the ACL, in her right leg. Last night she hurt her left leg and is limping. I’m hoping it’s just a sprain because she hasn’t yelped like she did when she tore her CCL. If anyone wants to send Navi positive thoughts or prayers for healing I’d appreciate it.
I’m so sorry to hear about your doggo! It’s been 4 years since she tore her right CCL. I originally was going to get her surgery. It ended up being delayed because of the pandemic and covid restrictions. When it was available again she was doing so well running and jumping around. I chose to continue with conservative management. Got her some more dasuquin chews today. They’ve been helpful in the past.

The cherry bourbon pie was delicious. Unfortunately the cranberry walnut pie was a baking fail this time as I wasn’t able to find fresh cranberries. I tried to use a hack to rehydrate dried cranberries but it did not taste right and the consistency was off. Definitely will only make it in the future when fresh cranberries are available. I asked if he wanted help setting up the tv. He gave me a withering look. Right as I opened YouTube on my phone a reel started playing with a chick saying “Men suck. Men are dumb.” It was totally accidental on my part. He decided to program terminal with voice jabs at me.
Tell him to make the cat his. Let it sleep in his room. Have a new cuddle buddy. Make the cat’s current human jealous as fuck. She’ll be cuddling all night with her cat in no time.
In all seriousness sometimes cats sing the song of their peoples for no discernible reason. My cat seemed to like the acoustics of the stairwell at about 3-4 o’clock in the morning.
He moved into the situation? Cat was there first. Maybe advise that he take more time finding a more appropriate living situation and that he use earplugs in the meantime. Cats train a human more than you train them. Having been and had roommates with pets it’s seldom appropriate to chime in on their care and training. Better to screen for situations that are conducive to both parties.
I’d ask the universe to get a crack on with all this paperwork, clutter, memorabilia, etc. But I’m pretty sure the tornado missing my house was the universe’s way of saying that’s your job.
Geez that yacht is cray cray. Weirdly I’m way more comfortable on a 38 ft sailboat vs a massive yacht. Boats that require a large crew to run scare me. Also might have watched Overboard with Goldie Hawn too many times growing up.
The audience is a vital part of standup comedy. Trying to do a set virtually is a painful experience. *shudders* Remember pandemic era zoom comedy shows?
