I went on a rant this morning against people who say if it doesn’t bring you comfort or happiness walk away. Some of the things in life that will bring you the most comfort and happiness may take periods of work, difficulty, and being uncomfortable to achieve. Got the response “sounds like you need a safe space.” 🤣 Yes, he was taking the piss. nostr:note1wdafu75y4v3l709l3ztmxy5j04gsxecqfp7s0xxw92e97y7wazes6qp0jj

I just got my ACL replaced two days ago and it's definitely not comfortable or joyful recovering from the surgery. But it's the perfect example of taking on some short term pain to open back a lifetime of opportunities.
Most people don't realize that being comfortable with discomfort is the first step to success.
I’ll be praying for a smooth recovery for you brother 🫂
My uncle expressed the same sentiment about his hip replacement recently. “The most painful and rewarding experience I’ve gone through.”
Thank you 🙏
Your uncle knows what's up.
I didn’t look at my most recent spinal surgery like that. It felt like the only way out was through. I appreciate your perspective. Really hoping I personally don’t need it anytime soon. I hope you heal well. Slow and steady wins the race. 🐢
