Be vigilant

What's the definition of success? The opponent gleans on which topic the player has expert knowledge? Or the player convinces the opponent that they have full knowledge of both?
In a vacuum, I'd say the protocol would be to lock both players in a room until only one remains, but I sense that's not the essence of what you're asking 🤣
Does the opponent know which answers the player accesses? At what rate can the player digest the answers they didn't already know? Can the protocol still be successful if for some reason the player provides an incorrect answer in both lists?
If I'm the opponent demanding the proof of expertise of one of the two areas, I would start asking questions from *one* of the lists, offering 1 (or n) answers if requested by the player, up until they reach the quota.
If the player completes the first 1000 questions, they win.
If the player ever provides an incorrect answer, the round ends.
Next round, I start asking questions from the second list, continuting the quota of freebies from before. Same rules.
If the player completes the second 1000 questions, they win.
If the player ever provides an incorrect answer, the game ends.
I don't see a way to conclude the game without asking 2000 questions, or the player failing early. I'm curious 🙂
Okay reading nostr:nprofile1qqsyzrawlu9t7hta0sszkn6zuvqndgcwm49wk6eckxtjk6lhgtyly6cppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyfhwumn8ghj7mmxve3ksctfdch8qatz9uq3samnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwvd6hyun9de6zuenedyhs4xywes think it through, I suppose an encoding of the answers (full knowledge) could be formed by the expert. I'm not sure how the encoding scheme would be communicated between the player & the challenger, because it's outside of the game
Gotcha, so yeah, the player will need to evaluate & answer at least 1000 questions, the set that they know, to combine them into a unified result. After that, sounds like a matter of privacy for the player as they consider how to combine their knowledge into a single value. Is that a single play, or can the opponent react at each step?
Cool problem!
"I have a 5000 word dictionary, and insert 5 of the words into a database. Can I then randomly query the database for any of the 5000 words, and be guaranteed a result?"
No. Your odds are literally one in a thousand 😉
"That and a nickel will get you a candy bar"
Actual english phrase used when someone places undeserved value on something!

There are two logically correct analogies.
"Charging me for 10/7 is like charging bush for 9/11"
"Charging me for crimes in gaza is like bush for crimes in Iraq"
My tests are simple. Pull it, build it, deploy it, run it, connect it to the internet.
Do not flip the order of those last 2 steps! Lot's of "private, open source" stuff fails at the run it step!
In the 90s & earlier, song videos would actually credit the director *on the film* at the end, because they were goddamn cinematic masterpieces of visual music production.
This weeknd piece looks amazing; it doesn't look creative.
Orbot utilizes android's VPN API so I assume it controls the full applications network stack (or full device if configured that way).
Still I think androids VPN stack has some holes.

If you're a responsible relay operator invested in the ethos of this space...that first sentence really hits hard.
If one of my users wants or needs to change their pic URL in this space, I don't wanna be one of the assholes that gets in their way.
If you're a client developer...that last sentence hits hard.
A user changed their profile pic URL to a broken link. Do I continue to show the old one, just because I remember it, and the user is familiar with it?
Can't have tools without technology, can't have carpenters without tools, and can't have a new testament without a carpenter. 🤷♂️
Nature keeps everything balanced (with the notable exception of time). Human arrogance would keep things "growing" as fast as humanly possible forever. Stay humble.

Work for an employer for 10 years & compute your salary in BTC. NgU doesn't exist. It's cope. NgU literally represents economic regress. Let's not cheer for it!
There are only ever two parties: me...and my environment 😏
Three or more parties is infeasibly difficult for humans to comprehend. I keep it simple; I seek to fully understand my environment. Sometimes, there are other people there! 😅
Same problem. You'd need a foolproof disguise to get to the bar undetected, but you can only rent your disguise from the very same folks you're trying to hide from!
Signal the Protocol is good, & these are good adaptations of it.
#SimpleX is what I recommend most typically among my circle. The basic idea of "2 relays, 1 per side, instead of one signal dot com for both sides of the chat" is a really easy no-cost privacy-win concept to communicate to technotypicals 🙂
I wanna look at nostr recipes in my SMS app 🤷♂️😉
I do see value in bridging the legacy standard with nostr, but it might be better for everyone if a long form nostr client integrated RSS feeds as well.
"...from the Make A Wish foundation..."
"Didn't he play for the Philadelphia Eagles?"
"You're thinking of Michael Vick"
"Ahh, always get those two confused"
Lets throw "money laundering" in the mix too for crimes that are totally made up.
Might as well add "conspiracy to commit" terrorism or money laundering to the mix too 🙃
(The third part of the "holy trifecta of evil," human trafficking, child trafficking...gets a pass in my book though when it comes to the law. You need real victims, and this one almost always fits that bill)
It's not about thinking of how their grandkids will live; they'll live fine lives even if things get bleak.
Rather they think about how to **condition** their **great grandkids** into operating their lives to preserve their piece of global power, the way they do, and the way they were conditioned before. But harder, more & better this time of course.
Very unlikely for ultra wealthy people to remain wealthy across 3 generations let alone 10, but the ones that do can do so because they have it down to a science, thanks to not decades but centuries of practice building protections across many dimensions and timeframes.
Low time preference Bitcoiners underestimate them, thinking 15 years of hodling prepared them to compete in the 21st century & is worth a pat on the back 🤣
The ponzi allure is strong though, and afaik these familial power brokers are still only human. One wrong leroy jenkins, and they might find out they fundamentally misunderstand the nature of their own self-perceived power
Just to be clear
If it ain't in the chart, it doesn't exist; your words don't really add anything useful to the chart. You made the USD bit up from nowhere, but you put it in 2 places where they cancel out 😅 Folks don't usually look at a BTC-EUR chart and think "ahh yes right, USD denominated! Let me just make this math a bit more difficult for myself..." 🤣
Really though, I measure big things (house, car, wedding ring) in BTC & smaller stuff in fiat, but there's no good reason for me to measure XMR in fiat. Hell, the reasons I used to measure BTC in fiat are dwindlimg with time. 😉
Welp when it comes to math & algebra: I simplify all the way.
I end up with a BTC denominator, even though I still sometimes measure things in dragons, no one needs to care (except I guess, USD maxis like yourself) 😅
The denominator **is** arbitrary, because they always cancel out.
It's amusing you're harping on this **necessity** for USD to be in the conversation, when there's provably no logical need for it! (see the above algebraic proof, and the fucked up state of the global economy, "denominated in dollars") .
Look, you can't just arbitrarily put USD into the chart (in your head) & then complain when folks tell you you're being arbitrarily & stubbornly horny for fiat.
I've been measuring RE, used cars, my salary, these days groceries too in bitcoin for years.
You're welcome to wait your turn to switch denominators for that (again arbitrary) time in your head when it makes sense to switch, but it's a major life hack you're waiting to take advantage of.
Patience is a virtue
exchange PAIRS are literally order books with two assets. Why would XMRBTC traders, for no reason, calculate the XMRUSD price, then calculate the BTCUSD price, then divide the two? The order book has a bid/ask/LAST price right there!
Bisq is a p2p bitcoin exchange that uses atomic swaps between cryptocurrencies. It doesn't just randomly inject USD bullshit into each trade!
I highly doubt CEXs do those unnecessary conversions, when the order book already has the data they need to execute teades. Simply a bunch of offers and a bunch of takers, with different sizes and different price points, neither side having any interest in USD here, constantly matching their order lots between eg BTC & XMR or whatever..
Even shitty engineers would need to put in legitimate effort to be that wastefu & it presents a big risk of slippage if the conversions aren't 100% realtime. (It's certainly not impossible)
There's a simpler reason the state hasn't killed satoshi...

We're talking snailmail postage stamp utility tokens here. USPS for example prints some unknown quantity of different kinds of stamps each year & sells them for a fixed USD price. Some kinds hold value more than others. We don't know their supply issuance.
It's only meant to require a sizeable amount to purchase if you're a spammer. It's not really meant to be money, but nothing stops a person from valuing it as such I guess
