The new AirPods Max still have the H1 chip. And still not labeled water resistant. My previous set is broken, most likely water damage because I don't live in a dessert. So this Sony WH-1000XM3 will remain my primary headset for a while longer... https://image.nostr.build/27a6a334a10440a39f7cda7088a8af481078d841e4d2cc1ae989c0bff5d1efd5.jpg
Stack sats instead 😜
Snap! Although mine are in slightly better condition.
I do plan to try the new AirPods 4 with noise cancellation. I like the regular airpods, especially when it's too hot outside for the Max or when I need to wear a hat (given my vitamine D optimized haircut). But those never worked for me near busy traffic, train stations, etc. (I never tried the Pro but I've always find sealing in-ear headphones too uncomfortable, especially when walking)
Ok I should replace some parts... https://image.nostr.build/bd5ae59d76adbc649fb2ab987a51ddc8d02e07ceaaf625e5071d0ca1fdb4680a.jpg
Let's see what uncle Ali is going to ship... https://img.sprovoost.nl/4aed878c5f9ae694a930f01587410c07003a223378c2d8e292bde6e2eaaa9147.png
Xm3 is still just so good, and the last Gen of the folding design. Every newer model between Sony and bose ditched it to look more hip so they're even more likely to snap in your bag.. But for in-ear, I really love the jabra ones. Just make sure to not buy their oval shaped tip variants as you'll need to buy third party tips for superior noise cancelation
I don't live in a dessert either 😏
I wanted ro upgrade my Plantronics BackBest Pro for this Sony XM3 once it died. But probably by then a technology that inject direct audio brainwaves will be available. This beast never want to die, I just have to replace the earcups from Ali every 2-3 years because of crumbling fake leather (my skin is very acid apparently, it destroy glasses branches and headphones plastics faster than normal).
