I am generally not a fan of any “sport” where the winner is based on completely subjective opinion. But there are many established Olympic sports that fit this criteria, so prob this is a “hot take” 🤣
Like… show me the person who is able to complete a challenge the fastest, the highest, the farthest, or the most, within a given rule set. That’s the signal IMO
Thanks! I’m happy with Bitwarden and Mullvad VPN, but perhaps I should check out their contacts/calendar.
I use Apple for those now, which I assume should be more private than Google, but that’s a pretty low bar.
If you’re fully bought into any of the big tech platforms, then Apple has by far the best default privacy & security. Of course there is much nuance & tradeoffs… but Google is literally EvilCorp when it comes to user data.
At least Apple’s business model is mostly around selling hardware.
Oh if you’re referring to the Nashville conference speeches then good on you. That’s old news at this point, so I assumed you meant something within the last 7+ ish days
“Custom reactions” translates to image files which need to be hosted on some server - no different from “posting” an image or video on Nostr.
Are you seeing examples of standard emoji reactions which don’t translate between clients?
I think there’s your answer. First one is easy for all client devs to integrate, second is not.
There could be a NIP for custom image reactions, but standard emojis etc will always be easier to support cross-platform/app
Gotcha. Maybe you already knew and qualified the difference in your OP, pls “tard” me up.
It’s not impossible but probably needs a standard / NIP before clients could consistently consume/didplay those custom reactions. (This could already exist, no idea)
The hyperbolic recommendations being made in some of the original posts… what is stopping ColdCard from adding this probable random capability?
Hardware limitation, or just developer hours?
Seems like yes, Coldcard and others should implement this… but you’re seriously recommending hardware without a secure element, or even a general purpose computer over this???
Did you comment already on why you think those tradeoffs are worth it?
Yeah. Just remember they can perpetuate the fiat/clown games longer than you’d expect.
There’s definitely a non-zero chance of global catastrophe in our lifetime… but I truly hope it can be avoided.
I get you fam. But I think if you list something for sale, you are a seller, regardless of whether it executes.
I guess there’s nuance with limit orders, but at least if you’re close to spot price then the same applies.
Wood stove or electric? I had only really been thinking wood, but @NVK said he prefers electric 🤔
I was also only considering outdoor, but if it’s electric I could potentially put it in the basement.
I checked all the “been to” and “swam in” boxes.
There were a handful (e.g. water skiing) that I only did or attempted as a kid. I am NOT a water skier lol
