#31days day the 3rd
Spent 4 hours cutting down a tree that had fallen during a few stormy days. It was double trunked, with one falling over my fence and one falling on my neighbours tank.
They didn't know it had occurred and were happy for me to take it off their tank, which it had damaged. Fairly hard job on my own, had to use ropes and props to hold the large trunk in place as I cut. I did end up hurting myself when a four foot piece bounced of another tree and hit me in the kneecap and then foot, nothing broken luckily.
Most of the tree, and the main trunk, i left for the neighbours as they have a wood fire, kept a bit for a fire this weekend with a mate.

Australians are tough bastards.
My great uncle survived war, being struck by lightning, blown up by a gas heater, bitten by Tiger Snakes multiple times, two boat sinkings, bitten by a Redback Spider, to name a few.
My brother has survived being bitten by a Tiger Snake, stung by a Stingray, electrocuted, several car crashes.
I'm not helping, am I? 😂
It's also a normal and natural process, Japanese people wear suits now, the Chinese invented paper and fireworks, everyone uses those now. We don't diminish by using things from other cultures, it's how we grow and get along.

Easier day today, walked a lot at the fiat mines and then a few hours working in the garden in the afternoon. Hopefully I'll hit the weights tomorrow to mix it up.

There is an argument in Australia to allow people to fill medical scripts for multiple months, instead of one or two.
Currently you can only get one or two months supply of a medicine at a time, you could not get, lets say, a years worth in one go. What a great way to enslave people to the system, get them hooked on an essential medicine, but only give them enough for a few weeks before they have to come back, cap in hand, begging for more.
I'm thankful no one in my family requires such essential medicine. It shows the importance of staying fit and healthy, avoiding the trap of fiat food, lifestyle and medicine.

Hours of weeding, moving rocks from an overgrown herb spiral and moving in mulch in preparation to cover the area. I'm hoping to use the area more over spring and summer, with a more open area with seating. Maybe even a small garden bed for quick production of lettuce etc.
Smashed physically now, but made some good progress.

Some fathers day gifts my family gave me this morning. I don't care for all the invented 'days' but the kids like it.
The likeness of me my daughter captured in her picture on the frisbee is fairly accurate. My wife also nailed a gifting again, The Fourth Turning, so I've something to read compulsively over the next few weeks.

What is it with the need to remake classic or cult films?
Other than money, why do they think they can make a better version, I can't think of any remakes that are better than the original, there are probably some, but not many.
A new version of the 'The Crow' has been made and without watching it I can tell it'll be shit and not as good as the original. One reason is the soundtrack of the original, that was an epic soundtrack and worked with the film so well.

Started #31days a little early.
My wife, dad and I moved 1.5 tonnes of mulch by hand, took a few hours and I'm munted. My Dad is 81 and he kept up with us, his mouth moved as fast as his shovel as he gave me shit the whole time 😂
Ageing tip, don't stop having things to do. My dad retired two decades ago, but instead of sitting down, he's kept busy and active. He's always out and about with his projects, they are insane and usually involve crazy unfinished projects, visiting shops and accusing staff of hiding what he wants out the back and generally wasting his money of cheap shit from Aldi. But, he's busy, his mind is still sharp and he can fuckin shovel mulch!

MMA's are way too violent, but bring the kids down next weekend for a family friendly stoning of mouthy women.

It's not for me, all I can see is the gladiatorial combat of Rome, bread and circuses, blood and gore to entertain the plebs as the empire crumbles.
Although, I'd probably watch the little Irish nutter go a few rounds with men who stone women to death.

Yeah, apparently the watch only connects to Garmin when you do updates etc, otherwise it just doing its job. I like the non-google operating system too.
I find your notes interesting, however, having all the # at top is off-putting, for me at least. Could you lead with the topic of the note and have the # at the bottom?
Fartichoke is an accurate name, I only get a bit, but my wife is like a pressure cooker release valve 😂.
They are great as a roast veg, more mild and crunchy raw in a salad.
