I totally feel the same. Ditched fb years back, never even went on twitter, insta etc. All my friends and family stayed on fb and I don't know anyone here in real life, but Nostr only for me.
I was too, about 15 years ago. I ditched all added sugar, soft drinks, lolies, anything with it in and I stopped adding it myself.
I must admit, chocolate is the only thing I'll have, but very rarely.
If you want a great sugar replacement, with zero carbs, try Lakanto Monkfruit sweetener.
And all the nations of the world became a Panopticon, and the lord said "My children shall not wipe their own arses without observation by another man."
Odysee.com has an option when create an account that allows you to connect your YouTube account, Odysee then automatically mirrors content you upload to yt. One is none, two is one.
No idea, I'm thinking it has something to do with how it was held. Seems like it's not a self custody situation, could be going under and they need to make it seem they are OK. More reason to self custody, not your keys, not your coins.
Yes, you are just trusting them. There are apps or clients that keep your nsec private when creating an account or signing an event. I'm sure someone will suggest one.
Most Western countries would fall into that description today. As an Australian I'm still partial to living here, lots of space with very few people and the woke population are all in the cities.
Other options I've thought about are third world countries with stable or authoritarian governments that would leave people alone if they just wanted to be. Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Morocco etc are cheap and pleasant places to live, have a homestead.
I love the landscape of Australia, so I'll try and sell it.
It depends on where you live, it's such a diverse country.
Tasmania has very English landscapes, rolling green hills and coastal fishing villages, but then Alpine mountain ranges, upland, almost arctic, lakes and swamps, and huge areas of temperate rainforest.
South Australia (my state) is largely uninhabited desert of various types and then a Mediterranean type climate around the coast and southern areas. Along the Murray River there are wetlands and swamps that bring life to the dryer areas.
Queensland has desert, savannah type grassland, tropical rainforests, mountains, plains and many rivers.
New South Wales is similar to Queensland, with less desert, some rainforest, lots of forests, mountains and arable land, plus some Alpine areas in the south.
Victoria has arable plains, Alpine areas,
Western Australia and the Northern Territory are mainly desert or savannah type grassland. In the far south of Western Australia they have a Mediterranean climate and forests, in the north dry mountain ranges.
It's a diverse place and the vast majority of people live in cities along the greener coastal areas.
The animals can be an issue, although it's overblown a bit. I nearly stepped on the world's third most venomous snake in my own yard last summer, I know the are here, but I don't see them often.
My kids are 10 and under, but read at an adult level, they can make fire from a flint and steel, fish, camp, navigate, cook. They also know about Bitcoin, that they will inherit.
I had a friend in high school, she told everyone I had an affair with my own aunt, who then died and left me a million dollars. That was a great story to hear from others and I wanted that imaginary million!
