Going off the theme here, *but* slather some mayo on chicken and toss it in some seasoned panko or regular breadcrumbs and bake it for super moist "fried" chicken without the mess.
This actually sounds interesting 🤔 using mayo instead of egg. May have to give it a go sometime.
Not just heated; it’s being used as a medium for frying which is conveniently spreadable on the bread. Just heated, mayo is disgusting 😂
That’s why I’m in shock. 🤣 To me, Mayo has always been a cold condiment. But I guess in this case, there won’t be any Mayo left at the end.
Correct. It is a thin swipe that gets absorbed into the bread. You’re essentially frying in a mix of oil and egg yolk fats with a little extra flavoring, and it doesn’t run on the rest of the pan to burn there wasted.
Damn it. I’m making grilled cheese now… with mayo.
