#asknostr **Have you had experience when you consume carbs eg pasta, you feel bloated?** Or is it just me? 🤔💭 #plebchain #nostr #grownostr #foodstr #food #nostriches
I quit gluten and I live a brand new life: gluten destroys your belly, amongst severall other side effects, as such as depression, insomnia, inflamations, lack of memory and so on.....
Yes maby test on gluten intolerance if you have celiac diseas, gluten can be harmful.
yeah never thought of this. Will defo look into it. ta! 👌
yeah, I was on keto for almost 2yrs but maintaining it was quite a struggle. however, I nevr had any bloatness. Only when I decided to try to slow add carbs back into my diet that bloatness came back and heart burn/indigestion. 😔
Yes. Often. Much less often now, for obvious reasons, but... Yup.
so was not just me then 😬
It could depend on the pasta and carbs, like all things, quality ingredients makes a difference with digestion, but it could also be intolerance to grains or certain types, you can get tested for that so you know and can then plan your diet accordingly, in other cases it could just be the quality of the grains, most supermarket products are garbage especially grains
Eat more protein and fat and reduce carbs. Keep the balance of the total calorie intake per day.
Defiantly better to eat more protein and fat which keeps you full and builds muscle mass, but you know how it is, every now and then it’s nice to eat carbs, important is that they are high quality and not garbage 🤙🏼
yea, did some experiment with the quality too. It seems regardless of quality as long as it is carbs it is still giving the same. It appears I may have reaction to it. 😔
Then just remove them and eat lots of protein, vegetables, and fruits, carbs, specifically grain are terrible for our health but they taste so good! 😂
I went through the no gluten and was using alternatives like chic pea pasta but then I realized that my body doesn’t like those and Im hungry often after eating them. I just dropped it all and went carnivorous. I still eat vegetation but its not a focus. Dropped the starchy sides completely. Game changer
Grains can effect if you have sedentary lifestyle. Cardio needs carbs.
I do cardio but I am still getting the bloatness esp indigestion. 😔
I limit carbs to evening to get good sleep and gut can be an issue. If you can fix gut it will be great to fix bloating etc. but at the same time doctors the good GP can help to fix. Hard to find good GP though. Some naturopaths are good in this field.
I *mostly eliminated grains from my diet. The most noticeable thing I’ve noticed is how I’m not hungry and I find it simple to avoid snacking. Keeping weight off is a side effect. *by mostly I mean I don’t buy bread, cereal, pastas etc for the house. We make whole foods 90% of the time. When we go out, I’ll indulge and eat bread or dessert.
this sound a decent balance. when I was in full keto I forget to indulge then end up binge-eating carbs and sugar! 😓
Totally agree. Couple thoughts. Totally anecdotal with our family. Keto wasn’t sustainable for me long term and impossible to implement at a family level. When we just made large portions of protein available, we all found that we weren’t longing for more food as often. As a family we’re down to two meals a day mainly because no-one is hungry for more. Things like a big slab of meat and a side of broccoli or asparagus. Nothing starchy. We don’t skimp on butter, gravies/sauces or salt so everything is really tasty.
in fact it's mostly about the fats... stearic acid, a major component of beef fat (as in not fucking veal) which is synthesised into a hormone that improves fat metabolism and reduces cravings for sugars
💯 agree. so it's time to get more protein back in my diet then! ☺️
omg...this sounds amazing. will try this out. I also find less craving if I had enought protein. Otherwise, I'd crave for sugars and carbs! 😬
