I *mostly eliminated grains from my diet. The most noticeable thing I’ve noticed is how I’m not hungry and I find it simple to avoid snacking. Keeping weight off is a side effect. *by mostly I mean I don’t buy bread, cereal, pastas etc for the house. We make whole foods 90% of the time. When we go out, I’ll indulge and eat bread or dessert.
this sound a decent balance. when I was in full keto I forget to indulge then end up binge-eating carbs and sugar! 😓
Totally agree. Couple thoughts. Totally anecdotal with our family. Keto wasn’t sustainable for me long term and impossible to implement at a family level. When we just made large portions of protein available, we all found that we weren’t longing for more food as often. As a family we’re down to two meals a day mainly because no-one is hungry for more. Things like a big slab of meat and a side of broccoli or asparagus. Nothing starchy. We don’t skimp on butter, gravies/sauces or salt so everything is really tasty.
in fact it's mostly about the fats... stearic acid, a major component of beef fat (as in not fucking veal) which is synthesised into a hormone that improves fat metabolism and reduces cravings for sugars
💯 agree. so it's time to get more protein back in my diet then! ☺️
omg...this sounds amazing. will try this out. I also find less craving if I had enought protein. Otherwise, I'd crave for sugars and carbs! 😬
