There's a good number of #Linux dudes/nerds on here, so I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice on how to copy a Windows file path in Linux?
Or convert a file path from Linux to Windows.
If there's a way that works with macOS too, then that's even better.
I have two monitors at work, right? Not uncommon.
I have a spreadsheet open on Safari, which is open in its own space on the right hand monitor, then a bunch of Finder windows and such on the left.
EVERY TIME I open a pdf from Finder it opens it in Preview on the desktop on the right hand screen, so I have to drag Preview across to the left, then swipe back to Safari. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.
Jesus fucking christ.
LB: I had one of those CPAP machines. Called up the NHS respiratory clinic to which I was attached and asked what their plans were. The answer I got was along the lines of “There’s no actual problem, it’s just that those Americans are very litigious. If there was a problem, we’d have replaced your machine already”. This didn’t calm my worries.
A month later I got a letter informing me that they’d be replacing my machine.

I've just realised that I'm the same age as Rishi Sunak.
Not really meaningful in any sense, but it's the first time I've been the same age as the Prime Minister. It's kind of a headfuck when you're raised to believe that your elders are your betters, but now the PM is the same age as me and is definitely not my better.

@210de87f The L&D is a *real* problem where I work. The MD will only consider offering training where it's pertinent to the immediate profitability of the company or legally required. As a result, anyone here who's doing any training is doing it self-funded, and will leave as soon as they're able to. @a83672b0@43d7c4ea
