 LB: I had one of those CPAP machines. Called up the NHS respiratory clinic to which I was attached and asked what their plans were. The answer I got was along the lines of “There’s no actual problem, it’s just that those Americans are very litigious. If there was a problem, we’d have replaced your machine already”. This didn’t calm my worries. 

A month later I got a letter informing me that they’d be replacing my machine.
