Also, I wouldn't rule out Labour just yet. Hipkins did quite well in the most recent leaders' debate...

The shouting over each other died down after a while. :)
How much support Groundswell has is debatable. Also, the Zero Carbon Bill was passed in parliament with near enough to unanimous support...

2019 was a different time though and life's much harder now, with lots looking for someone to blame. Our farmers depend on exports though, and the sensible ones know practices have to change else their products will be rejected by the markets. Emissions are a factor in free-trade agreements now.

If the NZ election next month results in a change in government, these will be the leaders of the minor parties propping up the new government. (One will be in the government, but probably not both of them.)

One thing Mastodon has over Twitter and Gleasonator (on desktop) is that replying isn't done in a popup, but outside of the thread you're commenting on. So instead of the thread being both locked and covered by an also locked in place popup, you can still scroll up and down in the thread to make sure you get the gender right of whoever it is you're correcting. Etc.
I like how Australians just say what they think and I hope more people follow this guy's approach to doing interviews. It'd make the world so much easier to understand.

Election debate, New Zealand style...

There'll eventually be a couple of leader's debates, (meaning between the PM and the Leader of the Opposition), which are probably the only ones that matter. Although there will be a third-party leaders debate (or two) too, I guess.
"At that point, Mr Musk had not given up on the idea of starting a new social media company, an idea he had discussed with his brother, Kimbal. "I think a new social-media company is needed that is based on the blockchain and includes payments," he texted him."
He should've been able to make quite a good social media company for $44b. It'd still have the same problem Twitter has now though of a pretty toxic brand owning it.

We've at least fixed the latter problem. As of this year we have everyday banking, 365 days a year. Payments take about an hour to arrive, except for between midnight and dawn, or there abouts. This is between all NZ banks.
