I think what Meta (Facebook & Instagram) or X achieved is that users understand likes or followers as the platforms currency, but those are never their followers or likes and their content is always going to be a product of the centralized owner of the social media platform.

As it is very uncommon where I live I give it a shot every two to three years. Tastes horrible and I remember that I hated it in the beginning. Rinse and repeat 🔁

I second this. I read a lot of “don’t see a therapist” and “no pain, no gain” opinions (which may work from time to time) on here, so it’s great to see some varied opinions on masculinity.
Therapy can save lives, have you ever had a diagnosed depression? I see you took therapy and haven’t gotten much out of it which is totally fine, but there are people with suicidal thoughts, war traumas out there, people that can’t even put a foot outside because of severe social paranoia and often times therapy helps in these cases to at least make them able to go grab some groceries.
Honest question: wouldn’t you wish your parents or grandparents would’ve had some kind of therapy? My life would look a lot better now in my case…
Consistency and intentional practice are the keys to turning effort into progress.

I know that slavery was present in many other parts of the world, but I don't go around saying that these times were actually great.
It still was at this point a racist, invasive country towards Black and Indigenous people (Displacement, Wounded Knee 1890). Jim Crow Era. Segregation. Labor exploitation, poor working conditions, child labor. Imperialistic annexation of Hawaii. Political scandals like the Credit Mobiliar one or the Whiskey Ring. Women were not allowed to vote.

Second paragraph is your opinion and that is okay. You’re talking about economic greatness and I am talking about moral/human greatness. What I want to say is that I understand your point of view regarding the economic growth of the US in that period.
