All you have to do is install the app and login with Amber. You can even use it as your main Nostr client. It has your following feed in it. UI is nice too. Also, has a built in ecash wallet. Don’t know why more people don’t use it.
Nip-04 has been marked as deprecated for a while now. If people start migrating to apps like @0xchat, maybe that will finally encourage client devs to upgrade to stop their users from leaving.

People seem to like AlbyHub. I haven’t tried it yet, but using that connected to @ZEUS is probably what I’d recommend. AlbyHub can generate NWC connection strings which you can use with Primal on Android.
there's different implementations of private messages, but no one except you can read your DMs unless you leak your private key.

Would be good if clients displayed a warning before heading into global and suggest to users that they should get a paid relay and filter global to only notes from that paid relay
Likes are now shakas on my Primal fork. I was going to remove the hearts everywhere, but I had to crawl out of that hole cause it was more work than I thought. At least a proper 🤙 is broadcasted to relays when you like something instead of a boring `+`.
