Haven't been on Nostr lately but that's mostly because I've been busy with RL
sent my cousin in Jamaica his first lightning payment though, that was neat
survived the halving -now I'm just setting up every thing else
anyone setup their own lightning address to their node before? Feel like that's the next thing I've got to setup. I've got a domain already, so that's sorted!
gave wavlake's android app a try - definitely into it- just wish I didn't have to switch apps to zap. I know i could add a secret to do so... or uninstall about 5 or so other wallets that I've been testing & not using
is going to dev meetups valuable when one is not a dev? I'd always like to go to one near me but my programming skills aren't good enough for me to try my hand at being a developer professionally - I worry everything's gonna be a bit over my head sometimes
if I had an extra raspberry pi....
install an instance of OctoPrint and upgrade your 3D printer for wireless printing
pi hole to remove ads from the local network
retro gaming console for behind the television
if none of those strike your fancy & you want to get rid of it you can always spin up a store at https://magicwebstore.xyz/ & sell it to someone on nostr for bitcoin - there's bound to be someone who needs a new-to-them Pi
it blocks on the domain level
because youtube serves ads directly through their own services PiHole can't block a Youtube ad - not sure about how hulu serves things
think about it more like an adblock browser extension but setup on the network level rather than on each individual device
just finished setting up my payroll so that any extra funds after bills goes towards BTC.
my discrecionary spending budget? that is also setup to DCA towards my stash.
my goal is to now see how much I can passively stack away this time around and touch less dollars. #bitcoin
this is exactly the sort of stuff I am looking for and thank you! not that I mind some of the Bitcoin merch, but I'm trying to show to my friends that there are is a community of people selling things that don't just cater to hardcore bitcoiners
Those circles don't necessarily overlap - people who are expert in one thing are not necessarily going to be skilled at others
unless there is a market reason to pull people towards change most will choose the path of least resistance
