Me and a few local plebs have been talking about our bitaxe's and discussed pooling them together...
Solo mining into a multisig is an interesting idea. I suppose you don’t need any special pool software to do this.. any solo pool will do. If you want to host this yourself, the easiest way is public-pool on Umbrel.
“I love the Bitaxe!”, says @ODELL as @MartyBent shows off his quite stylish bitaxeSupra 🤘 https://image.nostr.build/cdb0c9568f4701a93ce060a403b8b9910a48dc131edbfe97ece00baee6cdfe66.jpg
They were talking about the Canaan Avalon Nano3. It’s not really $99; they charge extra for the PSU. And AFAIK those cheap units are back ordered.

Solid machine though!
@6392ad91 and I did a teardown. It’s well built. ASICs are a bit dated, but noone really cares in home mining. The only thing I can’t figure out is how they made it so crazy cheap.
I heard for every 1000 Bitaxe sold @ODELL will smash a closed source miner live on RHR!
Cheapest by far is to manufacture them yourself. Details at bitaxe.org
We have a pretty break neck release schedule, so there is always a “next generation” around the corner! Hopefully they are cheap enough to dive in whenever you’re ready.
If it's perfect you are shipping too late.
 Facts
Hey, thanks for the #bitaxe shoutout and discussion! I think you nailed it on the motivation behind the project. There are a couple more interesting use cases, which I’d be happy to discuss with you if ya want. Lmk!
Who is behind #Bitaxe? I can't find an npub nor a twitter account.

Any help would be appreciated...
 Yo!
It's disappointing the bitaxe still has a barrel plug and not type c.
Standard USB-C PD does not provide enough current at 5V for the Bitaxe 😭 so it’s a little more involved change. But we’re working on integrating this into a future model!
This is the issue exactly. Even USB-C PD with the chip you mention can’t provide enough power at 5V. I’m working on this for larger multi-chip Bitaxe though.
The Bitcrane is a Antminer controlboard replacement hack/tool. It has USB, but is not a higher-power device like a Bitaxe.
Trying to figure out how many #HamRadio ppl we have here, reply below.
 🏴‍☠️
That’s not a real hashrate, unfortunately. Can you update to the latest v2.1.10 firmware? This screenshot is showing a couple bugs that should be fixed in this latest version.
 Everybody could use more Raccoons!
Definitely seems possible, although I don’t have any immediate plans to build it. When Ethernet BLOCKCLOCK? 😉
Sweet, the Bitaxe creator saw my Bitaxe meme 😂
The Noctua is much quieter. I think it might move a bit less air though.
Starting my trek to Riga. Who else is going?
 Yo! I’m en route
If you want to make big changes, then stop making excuses

Don't TALK about what you're going to ...
 Deal
The bitaxeGamma is go! The newest member in the #bitaxe lineup features the BM1370 ASIC from the Antminer S21 Pro. So far we've been able to pull 1 - 1.2 TH/s at around 15 J/TH from a single chip 🤯

We've got #bitcoin global freedom money to secure here, so everything is open source and permissionless 💪 https://image.nostr.build/c8e66809242e9557573d52a95340e9505d68e500340ac3ba8e1d8aa7681c03d8.jpg
 BRO!
Some of the sellers on the BitaxeLegit list are offering presales; bitaxe.org/legit.html
 About 17W at the bitaxe
 Check out solochance.com
It’s in overheat mode. Did you apply thermal paste? Try setting voltage and frequency to defaults, save and restart
Yeah, overheat mode sets the hash frequency and voltage to the lowest levels to prevent any more overheating. That will persist until you change it back in AxeOS.
#bitaxe I don’t if I’m wrong and who is reading this but you should consider providing an eas...
You can run your own node and mine to it directly!
If your miner, stratum server and node are on the same local network, it seems like encryption is unnecessary?
anyone in the states or EU that can get/make bitaxes?

I'm having a hard time sourcing parts du...
I’m not really sure how to get parts in South Africa either! Have you talked with any local contact manufacturers? They may know how to source the parts.

Alternatively if you want to buy a few fully assembled Bitaxe you might talk to solosatoshi.com
Kind of sucks having to check on #Bitaxe miners every day. I've got 4, and none of them are stabl...
This shouldn’t be happening. (It doesn’t on my end). I’d like to figure out what it is about your setup that is causing this. Are you on the OSMU Discord?
Are you able to see the bitaxe disconnecting from your wifi AP logs? What brand router do you have? Bitaxe wifi is 2.4GHz only and kinda primitive.
I’m on two Bitcoin mining panels at the Bitcoin conference! 26th at 1:30pm and 27th at 1:30pm, both on the mining stage 🤘 https://image.nostr.build/50a8eebb8c75d3f08f1e6ee99720ba5f6bbb855aac22b544f755b4290917194a.jpg

 Hack the planet!
You need to setup a VPN to home network to access the bitaxe remotely..
Is it normal to have to check in on my #Bitcoin miners everyday? All of my #BitAxe keep getting h...
No that’s not normal! Do you have multiple bitaxe stopping at the same time?
Okay, what's your #Bitaxe best difficulty?

I just saw one with the 1366 at 13.3G. Highest I've s...
There have been bitaxe shares over 1T (not by me though 😅)
That’s not good! Did you talk to the seller about a replacement?
#Bitaxe cant connect to 5 Ghz wifi connections?

#bitcoin
#asknostr
 That’s correct… 2.4GHz WiFi only
 MANDIBLES THEN BITCOIN STANDARD.

GOOD MORNING. 🫡
I enjoyed Mandibles. Thanks for the recommendation
Any Bitaxe plebs out there know what's going on with my Ultra?

It keeps saying "Low voltage" on ...
That does not sound good! Initially I’d say you have a bad power supply, but you said you replaced it. Please speak with the seller about a replacement.
It should not get that hot. The kinda sounds like a bad barrel connector
I invited Mitch Altman to join nostr and I hope he's going to try it out. I think hardware hacker...
I always thought it was strange/unfortunate how few in the hardware scene are also Bitcoiners 🤷‍♂️
 Unpopular but true ...

You are currently 4 times as likely to win the Powerball or Mega Millions...
Solution: leave your Bitaxe running for 40 minutes.
Awesome time hanging at Bitcoin Park and getting to chat with these guys 💪 nostr:note13ygdec8hppst3xhdcvzd4qx3vr5zsehr5gk9jtala9fqqfsrt0dq92gwkm
“A voice for discord” is the new “face for radio”😅
IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE DIRECTION THINGS ARE HEADING. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

TALK IS CHEAP.
Which ever you do, please do it ASAP! The network needs more independent miners, like yesterday.
The danger of censorship is real way before 51%
Getting people to care is my goal.. and equipping them to actually do something about it.
Sigh, same here. I think a lot of miners didn’t fully realize what it takes to run these machines, and so they think they need a pool with lower variance.. another decision they’re not fully thinking through. 🤷‍♂️
The big mega miners can’t move though.. they’re publicly traded, govt-regulated companies. Their shareholders will require them to comply.
I’m trying to work it into my social media time more and more.
 👀👀 looks like fun
