Is anyone working on reverse engineering the Canaan nano 3? Everything is great about it except that it's closed source
@6392ad91 and I did a teardown. It’s well built. ASICs are a bit dated, but noone really cares in home mining. The only thing I can’t figure out is how they made it so crazy cheap.

They were talking about the Canaan Avalon Nano3. It’s not really $99; they charge extra for the PSU. And AFAIK those cheap units are back ordered. Solid machine though!
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of getting a bitaxe just to play around with as well. Looking forward to the next generation. I'd like to staple some to the wall in an office we don't use here yet.
