Yo, it is INCREDIBLE to play with bigger screen possibilities for @SeedSigner!! 🔥🔥👀
For now this 320x240 ili9341 is the sweet spot. Bigger, much easier to read, smooth framerate, and I've already adapted the code to handle the 3:2 aspect ratio.
The tiny Waveshare display hat has served us well, but a new wave of better, cooler build possibilities will be on the horizon!

That’s glorious! The SeedSigner IMAX
If I try to push even more pixels -- 320x480 (ili9486) -- we hit some hard performance limits of the available python drivers out there.
For now the above 320x240 experiments look awesome enough, so I'm not placing a high priority on higher resolution screens.

Though by using some naive "improvements" I did get better framerates. But with some tradeoffs...

Just don’t forget us OG’s
The original Waveshare hat will always be supported!
I would be very much down for that. I love the seed signer. My one complaint is that I habe fairly bad eyesight ( that’s deteriorating more unfortunately) and the screen is hard to read.
Same! My eyes aren't great, either.
Anytime someone says, "you can just use a smaller font so you can fit more info on the screen," my reaction is always, "BRO... not f'n happening."
touchscreen right? that's awesome
If it could look a mobile gaming machine or phone that’d be so dope since then no one would know what it’s for - especially if people make games for it. Swap out SD cards for games vs wallet.
