Haha the first ROM I flashed was Pete's Bugless Beast back in 2009 on the OG Droid. I flashed all kinds of ROMs... mostly CyanogenMod and BAMF on HTC phones. Then Samsung phones. Eventually, I stopped when Android included the features I wanted and Samsung plugged their memory leak.
Same, except I see no reason to use Orbot. If you're using Mullvad (I am as well), how are you switching back and forth since Android only lets you run one VPN?
No kidding? I'll have to give that a try. I have a Start9 as well, but running Orbot has been the biggest PITA and then I wasn't able to run Mullvad because of it. So I've been waiting on the StartOS clearnet update so I can start using it again for more than just a Bitcoin node. ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ’ªðŸ»
It will get better, but I think non-technical people will have to be spoon-fed for a long time and will have to be pulled in to Nostr. It's human nature to keep doing what they're doing unless they're forced off centralized platforms in some way, either through censorship or a platform gets shut down.
Amethyst use the outbox model, which I believe is the reason you can set specific relays to handle your private/public inbox, DMs, private and local relays and general relays. Amethyst seems to capture posts and comments I can't see with any other client. Just go with what Vitor recommends and add to it if you want. Problem is not everyone uses an Android phone. I want to try and like other clients, but honestly, and I don't want to discourage development in any way, but Amethyst is what I use unless I'm just trying something else out.
Also, I found that if I'm using the same nsec in Primal, for example, that I'm using in Amethyst, the result is terrible. I had to create the same profiles using nsecs created with Primal to get a result that was in any way usable.
In Amethyst, settings > relays, there are a couple of recommendations for Search and DMs. But if you go to the General Relay section and tap "Default", you can use some of those for your public/private inbox, public outbox, etc... Some that are really good, that can be used for DM, private/public inbox/outbox that have come up in discussions (I don't remember where) have been:

wss://nos.lol
wss://relay.0xchat.com
wss://nostr.bitcoiner.social
The others in your General defaults list are probably really good options as well. These will definitely get you in the mainstream, from my experience. Others may want to chime in here...

The dollar is going to be replaced by BRICS. Trump likely knows this. I believe it's possible he may try to save what's left of the dollar by backing it with some combination of gold and Bitcoin. Or a new token, NOT a CBDC, but *something* he can back with gold and Bitcoin. I would expect something like this during the next 4 years.
I really didn't think Trump see Bitcoin as a threat to the dollar. He is already taking about ending the Fed. I think he sees Bitcoin as a tool to help bring in a new golden age for America.
The government already holds a lot of Bitcoin already, from the Silk Road confiscation. Who knows, maybe they'll print more dollars and buy more. Better they do that than give it to some foreign country.

I don't think it that he doesn't care. I think he trusted people to get certain things done, and THEY didn't care. He's clearly not making that mistake again.
I don't think we're done until more media outlets acknowledge Trump's historic comeback. Until they do, more surprises and chicanery by the commie left seems likely.
Trump is amazing. He's an acquired taste for some, I get that, but it's hard not to root for a fighter when all we've had for so long are pussies. At least he's no cuck.
I've run a Tor node on my Start9, lots of times. And every time it sucks. Don't get me wrong, I love Start9. But running a Tor node with Nostr is nothing but a headache. Terrible experience. Clearnet with VPN is the way.
If the question involves Amethyst, I don't think it should be a priority at all. Maybe as a standalone app for a different purpose. I'd much rather more support for DMs and group DMs with a NIP 17 standard across the board. Then I could use Amethyst for DMs without having to use 0xChat for groups. 🙂ðŸ™ðŸ»

Okay, if inbox relays should be free, how do I keep a copy of my DMs if the relays I run I charge a fee to use so I don't get spammed? This rule means if I add my relays to my DMs, then I don't get notifications?
I can validate that. I use Graphene, and Pokey worked the first time. I switched profiles and I've not been able to get it to work since, even though it says it's running. I've even uninstalled/reinstalled everything (Pokey, Zapstore, Amethyst), it seems I completely broke it. 😑
I'm embarrassed to say how many I had ðŸ¤... but now I'm down to 6. Thing is, I have 2 relays that I run that store my info, but don't allow anyone but myself and my family to post content to... so I kept a couple extra public ones. The whole relay thing is confusing.
