Look, Trump got 2 million less votes than 2020. The problem was that Harris got 14 million less votes than Biden. Democrats lost because they failed to inspire and turn out their voters. Not because more people supported Trump this time than last.

Trump did his thing. But this was a failure of the Democratic party to do what it needs to do to win elections. You’ve got to run for something that can inspire people, not just against the other guy.

Off the top of my head the only policy I remember Harris advocating for that was unique was a $25k subsidy for first time homebuyers. That wouldn’t do a damned thing to make housing more affordable. Oh and she’ll continue to fund the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.

Trump promised all sorts of crazy things like mass deportation, tariffs, no taxes on tips, and stopping imaginary in school trans surgeries. Doesn’t matter that the deportations are cruel, the tariffs and exemptions for tips are bad economic ideas and kids aren’t getting gender affirming care in schools. Hell, even project 2025 shows there’s a ton of proactive policies. Not good ones or ones i want, but lots exist.

I supported Harris and followed the election but can’t think of what she’d do if elected differently than Biden. She failed to get people to vote for her. That’s the long and short of it.
 2 things:

He will very possibly best the 2020 number when all in. Still millions uncounted in AZ, CA, and others.

Of course she couldn't pull people. She's an absolutely terrible and fake woman. She is lucky she ran against Trump. A Haley or desantis or Vivek race would have destroyed her even more
Yeah but even if he matches 2020, basically Trump turned out the same base as last time and didn’t convince many new people to vote for him.

Biden went back on his promise to run just once, prevented a real primary, failed at the debate, and left the party with the only option of running Harris. I’ve never been a fan of her politics, but her campaign just didn’t do what it needed to do, which was inspire her base to vote for her.
Rabble❣️ 🤯 great point about trump getting 2 million less votes than he did in 2020. i did not know this! thank you so much❣️ it is actually a great comfort to know that it’s slightly less horrible than i thought! ❤️‍🩹😂…🥲😭

… ᵇᵘᵗ … to me it is still incomprehensible (according to honest goodness) that tens of millions of ppl voted for him after all that is moreover known about him. they still voted for him because of the deep hatred that rules over them.

but, really, i do feel so much better. ✨💜✨🧡✨🙏✨
The same people??? Have you not paid attention? He increase black and latino men, young men, Hispanic female, and got less white women.

The 81M was a covid phenomenon. It will likely never happen again. It was shady as shit, mass mail in voting, people locked down and pissed, blm, and on and on.

Until the population grows by 10-30M voters, Biden s number will never happen again.

Trump crushed Obama's record numbers, twice.

Who the hell would vote for her? I mean honestly, why? To stop Trump? That's stupid. Nobody is a Kamala fan . They vote blue because that's what they do.
Do you think she was brought in too late?
Like Biden should have stepped aside over a year ago to allow her more time ect?
Just seemed to me like a set-up-to-fail.
Yeah Biden promised to only serve one term then got greedy and reneged on that promise. That was the original sin of the Democratic Party this cycle.

Then there were stupid things like branding high inflation and economic anxiety as Bidenomics.
Biden himself never actually pledged to serve one term. Reporting on this came from sources involved in the 2020 campaign.
planned & executed/push the country crazy left so they vote rite!
To be fair, you can’t become the most popular person in the world in one month. I’m surprised she got this many votes.
Biden cheated is why. So obvious. https://image.nostr.build/aff65ae37cb2ec9d21126c64e6aad895312ccb0048af2f453ec185c39fbfc3e3.jpg
Yah pretty obvious now with hindsight that 2020 included fake ballots.

Rabble is just coping hard, and seemingly misinformed on various topics, probably from poor quality “news” sources and confirmation bias supporting algorithms.
 Exactly
so do did you inject the snake oil *directly* into your dick? it's supposed to be a lube, but damn I can only imagine how strong your pretend high is right now.
Didn’t vote myself, but there is nothing fake about children U 18 receiving both hormone blockers and life altering surgeries. .014% of females U 18 received “gender-affirming” double mastectomies and 179 females U 12 received the same survey! Abhorrent
What’s worse, in states like California they made it mandatory for public school teachers to refer students who show trans tendencies, like asking to be called an alternate gendered name, to school psychologists who are then mandated to provide gender affirming counseling. Simultaneously, these teachers are PROHIBITED from communicating these happenings to the child’s parents.
How do you have all those thoughts and then end with "I supported Harris"? Honest question
 yeah.
this.

as he said
the people who voted for Harris were just voting "not Trump"
Nah, clearly the left couldn't pull off the big cheat this time like they did on 2020 because so many people were onto them from last time. They couldn't do the ballot dumps at 3 am, etc, and their attempts to get illegals on the voter rolls largely failed. Biden got 15 million fake votes in 2020 and Camilla couldn't pull it off. That's what happened. 😉
The Democratic Party can’t have a candidate who inspires people because they don’t let people chose the candidate.
Good to know you watch TV news bro. Thanks for letting us know.
They haven't finished counting ballots. There's over 6m left to count in CA alone.
honestly one of the best takes i've seen yet and i completely agree. it's tough to run on a campaign that's essentially hey im not the other asshole. apathy is a hell of a drug. if you don't like either candidate then most won't vote for either out of principle.
get your transition surgery while you still can.
Waaaaay more people turned out to vote this year bro. WAY more. Lines were long everywhere and Republicans pre-voted in massive numbers for the 1st time ever.

How can both be true?
Not sure if it’s all a construct to some extent, the left/right etc, but I do think Trump had no idea about the actual attempts on his life and I don’t think they were anything he wanted. Also think something seems a bit off in last couple of weeks. Some of his speeches seemed less coherent than usual. I wonder if someone is trying to drug him
Maybe he’s just a bit tired
Yeah i think the assassination attempts were violent crazy guys and not something Trump would have risked. And yes he seemed particularly incoherent in the last few weeks of the race. And yet he still won easily. I’d bet he doesn’t live the full four years, he’s old.
Ahhh I agree with the first parts definitely (and liked it before I read the bit about not living the whole term!) But I guess we’ll have to find out what happens. Hoping at least he’s going to be able to bring some kinda peace to the ‘forever wars’ as he does seem to
Did you listen to the Joe Rogan interview? 3 hours. I found him very coherent, sharp even. I had to rewind a few spots where I didn't understand but Trump did, to figure out what they were talking about. I'm sure there is context I don't have, but he could immediately have a new context in his head and opine about it much faster than I would expect for a 78 year old. I think it must be the golf.
@Mike Dilger yeah I mostly saw clips so I fully admit that I was likely seeing a distorted view.

Trump is clearly very good at campaigning and the media. I don’t like him or his politics but he’s incredibly effective. It works for winning elections.

I mean we both voted in NZ where we live. I voted for the Green Party, my guess is you voted National or ACT…. Neither are Democrats or Republicans. ;)
But he's actually good in politic.

I sent ACT a letter saying I wouldn't vote for them again if they kept their policy/rhetoric about the middle east, and explained to them where they have been fooled.
I don't know who I will replace them with though. I'm always hoping that the greens will drop their nutty ideas and focus on the green part, then I can vote for them.
I didn’t vote in the last UK election, I don’t think I feel like bothering to vote for some time at least
Yeah I listened to most of it and others, he seemed fine right up until right before the election. Even after the assassination attempts. Then something seemed a bit off on the last few days and almost like he seems more wary. I’m not sure just picking up on vibes maybe
Democrats were hyper-motivated in 2020 because Trump was in office and that put them in a fit of rage. This time it was Republicans that were more motivated. People are motivated when they hate the status quo and want change. It is far less motivating to say "I want more of the same."

I concur that Kamala didn't inspire. I think Michelle Obama would have done better.

As for imaginary in school trans surgeries... I have never heard of such things, but now that I have... I am firmly against them. I can see the poster now: "No more imaginary in school trans surgeries!"
The 14 million missing votes may be due to their disappointment with the domestic and foreign policies of the Democratic Party during its four years in power. But they also dislike Trump, so they choose not to vote.
what you call funding war in Ukraine is actually helping Ukraine and people survive. If you don't care about Ukraine that is totally fine but funding war feels like there wouldn't be a war without "funding". this is not true. for Ukraine there is no choice fight with your money or without.
