I think it's cool you're following through. It's only temporary and you have solid data on what it does and doesn't do for you anecdotally for the rest of your life. If you quit early you might find yourself always wondering if you'd had a different experience if you'd followed through.
Nostr != Twitter. Going Nostr only is good for your mental health. Not because of algos or freedom of speech, but because you're shielded from actual real world events that would otherwise alarm and depress you. Instead you can just stay in a comfortable world of make believe where the only important thing is Bitcoin memes.
Doesn't use play services. Install with aurora store which uses random Gmail account. To be honest I find most apps just work without ps, some flash up warnings saying the need ps but work anyway. Only small number of location specific things like bike share apps seem to refuse to run.
The fact that all accounts are tied to a kyc phone number makes it so obvious signal is not private. Never made sense they did this except for the obvious reason.
Ars is a fully captured rag. Was the worst during Covid. Ridiculous one sided scaremongering posts by Beth Mole, and in comments only supportive comments wishing death on anti-vaxxers were amplified. Good riddance.

I hear my government pledging billions of our tax money, paid by us for us, overseas to foreign people's without any accounting or democratic vote. A war where it's obvious we're only given one side of the story through orchestrated MSM. I think it's great the other side can be heard widely so people can make up their own minds based on logical reasoning.
I don't understand when you say your isp doesn't support port forwarding. You get an IP from your isp and you can open whatever ports you want, and if you use ddns you don't even need a public IP. Where would forwarding be involved? Am I missing something from your predicament?
I think wire guard is a good idea rather than open up the actual ports to your server to the internet, but even then I don't get why you mention aws. How come you can't just terminate wireguard on a pi or router at home and have that as the only port open on your fw?
I didn't even know this was a thing, but it makes sense. It's like someone setting up another router on your home network and putting you behind that. You can only make outbound connections. I'd prioritise a better ISP but in lieu of that the tunneling back in over the outbound connection makes sense.
I have a burner phone with pay as you go sim and a series of grapheneos phones with no sim that tether to the burner phone and use tor. Each phone is for a different app, one for email, one for browsing, one for messaging. Each time I read an email or a message, or browse to a new webpage I destroy the phone after using a custom built thermite incineration case. It's expensive but they haven't caught me yet.
Same occurred when Project Veritas had Pfizer exec Jordon Trishton Walker on tape talking about the virus. Googling his name or related terms showed same thing, no results. That was my moment of clarity.
