My Blockstream LN wallet has been blocked for over a year too and I already gave up. Their support service is totally useless because they don't even answer. Happy to know you figured it out with some help but this is very disappointing.
"Bitcoin community" is such a misrepresentation. It doesn't encompass the full reality. Most of it is just influencers trying to pump their bags. The real builders spend their time building, away from from the noise of the crowds. So perhaps they're not so loud, but I bet they are addressing the real problems as they've been doing it since Bitcoin inception.
Listened to that interview. It was painful. The guy is just pumping his corn and his incentives are clearly aligned with the current financial system.
