Do you have a way of limiting the size of a federated mint? If you have a really desirable mint you mint end up with more funds than you feel confident with
As a person with a lot of social capital in the nostr/bitcoin community do you think you would be interested in being part of setting up a #fedimint federation down the road?
I am in the same boat as you. Tried many times to set up a lightning node and always ended up giving up. @utxo the webmaster 🧑💻 has been talking anout #liquid recently. Thar seems easier to use and is less custodial than a custodial lightning wallet
Agreed. My hunch is non custodial lighting wallets is not the solution, lost hope of that. A sidechain such as liquid seems good but as its not being used I am assuming people don't like the tradeoffs on that either.
I am with you with liquid. From all my research liquid is a lot better than I custodial lightning wallet. I don't use lightning at the moment but would you liquid (squirts) on nostr. I think your on the right track 👍thanks for the insights #squirts
I want to be as non custodial as possible. Want to use bitcoin for really small amounts on nostr and to send to friends without paying to open a channel. Lightning should be perfect but the only non custodial wallets like zeus need a large fee to set up the wallet. Am I missing a better wallet?

Small blocks seem best to preserve the decentralised store of value of bitcoin which for me is the main issue bitcoin sovles. But as a medium of exchange I do feel a non custodial lighting network is unusable. I do sometimes think we could increase the block size so more. Guessing you are a small blocker?
Hello @ZEUS
Your app looks great but was going to charge me 77500 Sats to set up my lightning wallet. Just wanting to use it to mess around with makes it unusable. Do you think the fees will come down in the future or are they driven by the onchain fees?
I had started to lose hope for lightning. But this truly seems like the missing part of the puzzle. It's made me really hopeful. Looking forward to trying it
