I realise my privileged position as westerner and therefor probably am unable to fully grasp the complex situation African countries are in. Also I have no (easy) solution for this, obviously. I hope you find a way to fully stand autonomous as a society in this global village. I think the west has an obligation to support this transition, but it is reluctant to take on this task. What way out do you see? What light points are there?
I knew Dutch VOC laid some fundamentals, like shareholder tradings, but never realised the full extent. Partly, because in my knowledge it were foreign thinkers/economists (Adam Smith f.e.) who laid out capatalism from which it evolved into what we have now. I am university scholed in the Netherlands btw
Also, since I argue the same for anyone who believes her story, it comes over as a non-argument. Please refer to facts and I am not going to dig them up myself
Ow amd before you think I support war: I think any aggression is a sign of weakness and fear. All cross-(border|race|younameit) type of aggression is failure to be human.
[A]t the end of their life people might be increasingly motivated to make this end appear as positive as possible and to believe that they have lived an overall meaningful life. Against this background, we speculate that at the end of their lives, people regret less than before.
Taken together, there is theoretical as well as empirical evidence that when the end of oneβs life nears, people are motivated to believe that the things they could potentially regret are βtoo few to mention,β as Frank Sinatra put it in his song βMy Way.β

9 principles of nature
How much I like the sound of this, there is so much wrong with these "prinicples". Nature is not holy, thats our valuation of it. Nature just is and thats.for me what makes it beautiful (and again thats my personal valuation). Please stop oversimplifying complexity, but do formulate lessons we can learn from nature as humanity. Again these lessons are probably largely formed by personal opinion π
1. Nature runs on energy, sunlight the prominent source on the surface of the earth, but not the only one.
2. Nature uses only the energy it needs. What do you mean by "needs", this is so wide and abstract you cannot disagree.
3. Nature fits form to function. Well, sexual selection is partly or even mainly driven by form, which thus has a function in itself. Also the way this is formulated anything can be defined as function.
4. Nature recycles everything. Recycling those not exist in nature, since everything is always nature.
5. Nature rewards cooperation. And it rewards competition, whats your point?
6. Nature banks on diversity. Nature is not conscious and does not "bank". Diversity is the best way to increase adaptation chances and thus survival. Lets learn from that
7. Nature demands local expertise. Again this is just adaption to surroundings, no conscious choice
8. Nature curbs excesses from within. Yes when there is an easy access to energy, it will be consumed.
9. Nature taps the power of limits. What do you mean by this?
It would be a really nice security upgrade if I could generate delegated, revokable nsecs for my clients. This would solve having to fill in my real nsec everywhere and reduce the chance of identity theft. Lets call them protected keys (nptd). Is this at all possible using the current algo? #asknostr #grownostr
Just used your note to show my son how easy it was to send money. It did not click with him. Thats the problem we're up against, our money has been abstracted away so far we lost connection to it.
What is needed to make nostr a foundation to organization governance? Think DAO. What would we need to get in place? #asknostr #decentralization #governance
Why do children blame each other? It would not suprise if they refuse to take accountabilty for their actions. Excuses and blaming make an luring exit of the situation. I also believe they do that because of a missing skil or knowledge to solve the problem before them. Help them overcome and they will stop blaming others or make excuses.
And, o yes, this goes for most so called grown-ups to: victimizing yourself is the refusal of taking responsibility. That refusal is rooted in inability to deal with a situation.
