Mastodon Fediverse. Is a federated, centralised censorship piece of junk.
I think we’re on the cusp of reinventing communication over the Internet altogether
It makes you wonder, which social network allows political speech and has political sway and impact on the government? The answer, as it stands, remains X/Twitter.
Replicating this into another social network is worth 44 billion dollars. And frankly, while the Fediverse is a great "technology", it fails to address Bots and Identity.
In other words, any network, regardless of technology, that fails to have human-to-human interactions is doomed to fail.
We must consider this aspect and build it into the protocol from the ground up. Traffic volume means shit if bots produce it, and the Readership-to-Content ratio skews far off.
Readers bring money, and content brings readers; therefore, content has to be wholesome. And the "Tipping" culture being built here is contributing to that.
@jb55 I love everything that you're doing ^_^ Keep it up! Just consider the above in the designs.
Buy something as close to 1 KG as possible, 14 inch display and a battery life that will last 10 hours. A good candidate is Macbook Air or Surfice Pro.
Can't recommend on Gaming PC but if it's for “gaming” slap a Ryzen processor, a modern GPU, 32gb ram. And big SSD storage. ( if using work, use cloud storage of install a RAID setup )
Spent some time on BlueSky and to be honest, the community is very unserious and mostly doesn’t have any specifically defined ambitions #bluesky #nostr #fediverse
The #Fediverse is a non-starter from the grounds up, it frawns upon cryptio. it is in opposition of web3 concepts, and it also engages in censorship on both user and server level. giving power to a single corporate to gatekeep who can and cannot join.
Even if it is a big network now it PALES in comparison to X.com / Twitter.
And lacks the true decentralized principles of NOSTR where the accounts creation, access, and controls are in the hands of the individuals, and not the relay hosts (to an extent of my knowledge anyway)
Look, and that's okay! as it turns out, deboosting and reach manipulation on the service side is more harm than good! the potential for your reach is MUCH higher when you control it using hashtags rather than a algorithm does.
What's the difference between a public relay like Damus and a Paid Relay like Nostr.Wine, Which should I use? and which should I donate to?
If I post does it post to both relays? are relays essentially parallel instances? or individual networks?
So many questions so little do I know, how long can a note fit?
And If I post something here, is it reliably existing forever? i.e I can publically start blogging and build my business / journalism ? or are we still in beta state?
I think there's some paywalling relays going around. It's one thing to collect a cent per post, another thing to prevent read access to a relay behind a subscription.
@Snort I really don't know what/how to deal with the subscription model. or how to set it up, instructions?

Thanks, this is a short form test but it confirms that the soonest anyone (human) saw a post made on Nostr. was 3 hours.
This is also the second post, as the first post did not propagate through enough relays. this tells me that the relays sync protocols requires some solutioning and scaling. I think we're dealing with traffic-vs-resource situation.
The one on the most right, notice tilting the head lower than others, the smaller smile, and being out of the group… an introvert will always notice an introvert.
RFK announced run as INDEPENDENT RUN FOR PRESIDENT!
Key quotes from his speech (Credit to Vigilant Fox)
#5 - "Instead of two parties, we have a uniparty, a monster with two faces loudly bickering with itself as it lumbers over a cliff. At the bottom of that cliff lies the destruction of our country."
#4 - "People suspect that the divisions are deliberately orchestrated, and that getting us to hate each other is part of the scam. And they’re fed up with being fooled, and they are ready to take back their power.
#3 - "Americans are angry at being left out, left behind, swindled, cheated, and belittled by a smug elite that has rigged the system in its favor."
#2 - "MY sacrifice is nothing compared to the risk our founding fathers took when they signed the Declaration of Independence 247 years ago right over there. THEY knew that if their revolution failed, every last one of them would be hanged. They chose to place everything on the line. When John Adams put his pen down after adding his signature to the Declaration, he turned to those present and said, 'Sink or swim, live or die, survive or perish, from this day on, I’m with my country.' I make that same pledge today, so that I may stand before you as every leader should — free of partisan allegiance and backroom deals — a servant only to my conscience, to my creator, and to you."
#1 - "I am here to declare myself as an independent candidate for President of the United States. And that’s not all. I am here to join all of you to make a new Declaration of Independence for our entire nation. We declare independence from the corporations that have hijacked our government. We declare independence from Wall Street, Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Ag, the military contractors, and their lobbyists. We declare independence from the mercenary media that fortifies corporate orthodoxies, and urges us to hate our neighbors and fear our friends. We declare independence from the cynical elites who betray our hope and amplify our divisions. And finally, we declare independence from the two political parties and the corrupt interests that dominate them, and the entire rigged system of rancor and rage, corruption and lies, that has turned government officials into indentured servants of their corporate bosses. We declare our independence from these corrupting powers because they are incompatible with the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that our original Declaration of Independence invoked in 1776."
Analysis of today's political atmosphere.
If you look at every politician, they entered poor and came out rich. the Billionaire class usually strays away from politics because they can have all the power by lobbying 2k a congressman for any law to be drafted, voted, and signed by yours truly "Government for profit" scheme.
Trump stepped away from this dove head first to fix the country and we kicked him out with our stupidity. he lost 700 Million in damages to his brand and in legal battles for running President. he is the only politician in existence that came in rich went out poorer. with the exception of the founding fathers.
the only other daredevil risking his neck for Politics today is Vevik Rameswamy... I don't trust Ron Don, RFK, or anyone else. because a politician's job is always "lie in public, sell power in secret". although I gotta give it to RFK for having the balls to run "INDEPENDET" Against both GOP and DEM parties!
I'm also following Forward Party and Andrew Yang; these people have long-term plans for a good fix.
meanwhile Elon is fighting tooth and nail for the 1st Amendment, the first pillar of America that could collapse in the next 30 months.
My take on current Cryptocurrency economy.
If USD collapses XRP/XLM will too That it because their stable-coin status is built upon their 1:1 ratio to the dollar.
That’s different with Bitcoin and ETH as they have independent economics from the current system, So I would recommend ETH over BTC given its speed and programming application.
You might also be interested in learning about TON and Bitcoin Lightning networks. These are essentially a second-layer blockchain facilitating faster crypto transaction for existing coins using a “proof of stake”.

Crypto is essentially free-speech money. And it’s where humanity should advance to solve all our slavery, poverty and homelessness problems.

Sergals are Mick39s original classic , that definitely put a lasting mark on the Furry Fandom and the entire Anime Manga Comic community as a whole. This painting portrays a same gender couple of Northern Sergals taking a vacation at a suburb by the Ring City. (Maybe a more serious lore expert will correct me).
I think a lot of people don’t know what Maga is which allows the Left to spread lies about it. MAGA is a simple movement that believes that we are taxed without representation and we should enforce the constitution to LIMIT the federal power. This isn’t about replacing government with another, MAGA is about removing Federal Government from infringing on State laws. Literally every law created by the FED unless backed by an article in the constitution is null and void.
I hope that helps you understand it. Once the law of the land is restored MAGA is not going to stay around people will go back to work.
Tough one, the furry community is all over the place. The only thing that unites them is the porn and self-victimization.
The OG Furry Community United by IT folk and nerds is gone
A lot of people don't understand what MAGA movement is about, because it attracted some hard code far-right people. I'm in the movement to support the sanctity of western way of life. Capitalism, Nuclear family, Individual liberty, and the sacrecy of marriage.
