ah shit, @miljan does Primal order the images based on how they’re uploaded?

this note might be hard to read. was trying to explain why we need to find devs lol
lol. Download Tailor. It auto stitches screenshots together for long post if you take overlapping screenshots. https://i.nostr.build/lLKjP.jpg
Yeah I got confused reading it the first time, Primal seems to load images in a post in random order every time I open the app
Looks correct on amethyst, just fyi.

Also couldn't agree more 🤙

GM and PV
 good news / bad news:

the good news: your published note lists images in the correct order. they show up correctly in primal web and android apps, as well as other nostr clients.

the bad news: our iOS app shows the image gallery in the reverse order. fixing now for the next release.
 🙌🫡
 Fwiw Looks fine on amythest
 Looks right on damus 🫡
 Thank you Jack.
 good morning ☀️ 🌸
 Good morning ☀️🧡
Fuck "digital property". We're here to END central banking and the psychos that run it. If people are uncomfortable with that maybe they should go elsewhere. We don't need this sugar coat nonsense. Bitcoin will be what builders want it to be.
 Forgot;
We're going to die on this hill
Stacking open source money while opposing supporting open source development is slightly hypocritical.
Anybody who has operated any technology would know that maintenance, improvement is required. Your laptop won't last your forever. They know devs are needed. The question is if they control the devs to do what they want.

They can't control the 'Core Devs' hence they can't control Bitcoin and that is the real problem.

Payment system is a no brainer. If you go to countries like East Timur, Cambodia, Laos, the currency is so shitty that locals can't afford local goods and are unable to contribute in even circulating local economy. The use cases can on and on.

But those in "power" would spin the use cases so hard because they want control of bitcoin development. This is where it gets very dangerous and worrying.

Not sure why @saylor cock blocking bitcoin open source devs getting funding is such a mystery to people on Twitter… MicroStrategy has started a bitcoin software development and services arm to their business and wants to license the software and services (Bitcoin-as-a-Service) to institutions. He sees having more open well-funded source core devs a threat to that model.
I am with you on this one Jack. The need for changes to enable scaling alone is a justification for a lot of work to be done.

 good morning 🫡
 Good morning!
Good that you raise the timestsmps issue that will inevitably stop Bitcoin in the future if not solved, it is the most important thing to fix on #Bitcoin but nobody is working on it. The sooner this problem get solve the better it is. If you need to help Bitcoin development then support devs who care about the issue

 GM!
The recent XZ episode should be enough to inform folks of the importance of healthy open source environments but hey, it was posted on X which appears to be legacy tech anyway.

How many rodeos do these things normally take these days?
Firstly, it’s Pizza Man. Laszlo is a fucking legend and his use of real-world purchasing of a good with bitcoin is celebrated every damn year.
It's unbelievable people still think the pizza thing was a massive mistake. The only mistake is not understanding that everything you spend any money on is actually opportunity cost of Bitcoin

We almost all bought a pizza the same year the bitcoin pizza guy did. Everyone of us had the same opportunity cost as the bitcoin pizza guy for it whether we used Fiat or not

bitcoinorshit.com is still such a great website

When you realize that bitcoin is the money and the measuring stick and NOT just some beanie baby property...that's when you realize you've been exposed to the opportunity cost of not being all in since day one
The whole notion of it being a mistake is selfishly short sighted. There must always be a "first" purchase. Whether a pizza or a taco. Whether it was in 2010 or 2024. There must always be a first.

You can only proceed with the information available at hand at the time of the decision. How could he have predicted the 2024 price? Should he have made his purchase based on his estimated 2024 price? What about 2124? It's just such a flawed notion.

In any case, looking back (hindsight 20/20) yes in today's terms he paid a lot. But without it and assuming no one else did similar the next day or the next or the next or the next.. bitcoin would have never been used for payments. Arguably lightning wouldn't have happened. And in all likelihood, bitcoin would remain without a use case, gotten no press, and have dwindled to nothing.

Have you bought anything with bitcoin today? Wow what a mistake. 14 years from now that's probably worth a fortune. So shld we all just hodl forever and do absolutely nothing with it? Lets give it no use case and while we're at it, lets freeze all development and maintenence of the code. Bet that'll make the value skyrocket 🙄

Was buying pizza with bitcoin a mistake? A short term sacrifice for long term gain maybe, but a mistake? Far from it.
Such kind way of addressing FUD
Yeah, 640kB ought to be enough RAM for anyone.
Bitcoin is a great bootstrap mechanism for Monero.
Clearly some are worried about money influencing developers, without realizing that nefarious money would likely fund developers privately.

Everything should be out in the open.
Developers gotta eat too
If no one ever touches code again, the timestamps issue will shoot our golden goose. People need to understand software does not just magically work forever. It requires some level of security patches and maintenance. Microsoft can’t ship windows and say hey it’s the final version - we are done, don’t worry nothing will ever go wrong from here on out.
So Michael Sayler probably knows this?🤔🤷🏽‍♂️
I'm gonna just get more and more stupid on the topic.
Btc is saving tech for me and I will see what else happens while I hold on to as much sats as I can. After reading this and other notes/replies, btc now feels a bit like a gamble.
So this is FUD 😶😬
It still I feel is a good bet on not getting poor and controlled by cbdc, but still.. I now realize I need to trust and there I thought btc was trustless. Ignorant bitcoiner..
So there are good and bad devs? Good and bad ideas...
We can vote. I can try follow the dev-plans, while I understand little to noting on hard/soft fork and wish to see a developed pitchforks. I can let myself be influenced by whom I consider intelligent in the game. Would my vote be of value? Because this software stuff I don't understand and I will need a timemachine to shoot back in time to my prior self and say 'YO, learn IT, oh and buy some btc in 2009'

#question
In 50 years or 500 years is this kind of development still needed?

I said a gamble earlier, because if the powers that be make a harder effort than they do now to get their hands on the bitcoiners, the ones with good development skills, they can lock'm up, corrupt them or just bomb a btc gathering, right? How easy can btc be
controlled if this battle would happen? We ARE, let not forget, trying to dethrone some people that do not wish to loose their power. All we got is a peaceful move, they got the armies.

Maybe as Craig said in this video I say and remember being said as; - Number one thing to do now is help people learn btc, how to self custody and after that how to run a node.
"BITCOIN SELF CUSTODY - CRAIG RAW, JOSEF TĚTEK - ADOPTING BITCOIN CAPE TOWN 2023"

I don't mean to shit on your day, but I'm reading words like 'we need to be realistic on the work that needs to be done on bitcoin and the opensource development' Well I hope the ones out there in the open do realize the big bulls eye they got on them and I hope you others, in the shadows, with good intention & dev skills in you know how to stay under the radar.
I wish you good luck and wisdom.

He's basically saying he's cool with bitcoin being digital tullips, as long as number keeps going up. Hopefully someone explains to him that if bitcoin doesn't work as a medium of exchange then it also won't work as a store of value
