I suppose I need to do a daily update for #31days?
Fine. I walked 2.75 miles, then did 5x20 (poor) Kettlebell swings, in the grass, barefoot. I'm noticing that since I've been walking more regularly, my arm hairs are getting lighter, so, I take it to mean that I might be getting almost enough sun now.
I still hate doing any of this. I'm sore and cranky. People who say they feel good after working out piss me off, but I'm just whining.
Ugh.
I am not sure I'm swinging correctly. I am sure I will get better with time. That's inevitable.
#kettlebell kettlebell swings #repeatuntilstrong
I so get you😃❤️ Anyway you're based af.
Am I? I feel like a mess more than anything.
It's a good mess and you're fighting. I'd say I'm on the other side of this mess, it's totally kicking my ass. Again, as always. So, mad respect.
sometimes when fixing(& overwhelmed) it helps me to start on the smaller areas which lead me closer to the whole allthebest!
That's not a bad strategy.
Great job. In it with you. I’m on week four of the gym. I’m still miserable, waiting for it to get fun. I do always feel better afterwards though. We gotta stick it out.
For me, it NEVER gets fun. I've been fit. REALLY fit. And it always sucked.
Runner's high? GTFO.
The pump after lifting? GTFO
Never once after a workout have I said, "Oh, I feel great!"
It sucks. I hate it. I have to put in way more effort than most to get mediocre results.
I suppose it's better than dying, even if doing it could kill me anyway. 😝
Weird. Maybe you have lost all your dopamine. Not joking it’s a thing. Letting you know on the slight chance you never heard of this. HUGS.
No clue. I've not heard of that.
One of my friends in the army that I actually went to school with as a child anyway, we were old friends on Twitter, I think or Facebook anyway he ended up being diagnosed with that because they had given him too many drugs that it basically put him into dopamine or something like that I can’t remember the exact one because there’s different levels but what I’m saying is is that meth heads get it too I’ve read about and research like if you use too much meth all the dopamine goes away and then you can basically your body doesn’t naturally produce it so anyway when you’re working out and everything and you get the runners high, etc. it’s because of the natural hormones, but if your body no longer produces those, this would make sense please note I’m not saying that you’ve ever used any drug in your life or anything like that it’s just human bodies are very so it may just be something that you were born with and that’s perfect. I mean because you’ve adjusted just fine.
Please note I’m just speaking and talking and I’m not reading these so if this doesn’t make any sense to you, please let me know
No, no. It's interesting. Because I've never experienced that, even in HS when I was running cross country, wrestling, and doing various track and field stuff. Never, ever when I was in the army, even early when I was the fittest I've ever been before I got seriously injured. Maybe my brain just isn't wired that way. There's no friggin reward for the effort.
I’m not going to delve too deeply by asking you any personal questions but I’m just gonna say that there’s certain types of torture and pain that people like that put themselves through. I was also country winner. I didn’t wrestler though I did a wrestling star but anyway that’s a moot point And then you got injured how I’m so sorry for your injury so you’re like I am. You’re a veteran that got hurt when you were in the army I’m so sorry to hear that and you’re right there is no freaking reward for effort for veterans like us like it hurts Except for maybe coming to Nostur and finding one another again so we can communicate so seriously I am a retired veteran. I know I’m a female and I know I’m weird and shit but like message me anytime you need to talk or if you need a friend or something you know I probably won’t respond immediately but I will eventually respond I promise.
Thank you.
Sincerely. Thank you. ❤️ 🫂❤️🫂
I didn't get jack for anything when I finally GTFO (I was stop-lossed and there was no effing way I was going to reup after that BS) but... I recently talked to another veteran who went through the process of getting his rating reevaluated. It went well for him. I just don't know if I want to bother with the VA again. 😠
Anyway... There are a bunch of veterans here. I like some more than others, but... We're all brothers and sisters in arms. It's good to help each other.
If you ever need to talk, I will be available for you or any other veteran.
You’re welcome. From talking with others I believe they may just immediately deny them all because of back-logs but I have no proof.
Please resubmit. Most VFWs have people that will assist.
It’s sorry how they treat us after they use us. Stay strong 💪 Happy we connected. I can be serious 🧐 but it’s rare 🤣🫂
It really seems to come down to what region I'm moving soonish and where I am moving the VA seems to be a lot better than what I'm used to. I half expect this to not be the case... But, screw it. It might just be worth it.
I have several coworkers who got reassessed by the VA recently and ended up with a higher %, one after another. It even sounds like it wasn't that terrible to deal with, though that's second hand. Do with it what you will.
There's a lot that goes into that. The region they are in, the way the wind blows, what phase the moon is in, etc.
But thank you.
You got this … we got this … 🫂🙏
I don't remember feeling good after going to the gym, or walking, but after circus classes or yoga or handball I used to feel great. don't you remember any other thing that was fun to you?
Never the physical part. Playing games with friends was fun, but... I couldn't care less about the running and jumping and stuff.
have you checked your B12 levels? I don't know if it could be that but, now that you said that, I think I felt so much more this hormonal impact when I started to take B12 supplements.
Nope. I haven't checked anything except the scale and how easily my pants will fall off without a belt.
Fine. I bought a resistance band last weekend, and decided today to use it for some bicep curls. Losing a bunch of weight has left my upper arms looking scrawny, so I thought it might be time to do something about it. I've started doing squats, for similar reasons. Just 10 at a time, whenever. I tried 20 and that was too much then, maybe not now.
Since you started, don't stop. Put on muscle. It's good for you. Etc.
Another new member for #31days.
What’s this about?
Idiots doing dumb stuff every day of September.
My flavor is 5x20 kettlebell swings, plus my usual walk.
IM an idiot and no one told me.
It's OK. We're all idiots here.
The left side of the curve is so warm and comfy.
it's not too late to join our idiocy
What’s expected of me? I’m a lawyer and stupid really hard most of the day.
do something active every day (gardening, walking, pushups, playing with your kids) for around 60 minutes and post it to the hash tag #31days
Pick an exercise that's more than you normally would want to do.
Do that every day.
I’m scared by the freedom this inflicts on me.
Freedom is scary. Embrace it.
Some do this for the shape of their arms, some do this for the colour of their arm hair.
Excellent work, Beave 🚀 proud of you!
