Nope, during the pandemic, he made like Holly in the Lou Reed song, shaved his legs and now he is a she.

@f1c2774e That happened to a guy I know at UPS. Married dude, site manager. Posted pics of himself dressed like a tranny on social media, and thr drivers found out. Turned into a big HR deal. He -- now she -- left the company shortly after.

@dabe0ad5 I will say this was handled well by everyone. I still don't get it, but it's working. Here's what makes my head hurt... I have known this person for more than the decade we have worked together. I'm supposed to treat them professionally as if they are BOTH the same person (knowledge, expertise, responsibilities) AND differently because of their gender change.

@dabe0ad5 Obviously, I wouldn't assume she knows less or is less capable NOW because 1) I'm not a pig 2) it's the same person But at the same time I'm supposed to NOT think of her as the same person. So, how do I still carry forward that professional trust?

@f1c2774e @dabe0ad5 many (if not most) get sexual gratification by dressing like a woman. I don't think it will last. I bet within 2 years the novelty will have worn off and they will just be confused.

@6350630e @dabe0ad5 they've gone beyond that, but yes, I think a lot of it starts out that way. It might be kink and they put a flag in the ground, leverage many hours of corporate resources and such, they can't back down. Same for the parents who can't allow their kid to NOT transition once they get out of the phase. In SOME cases, that is.

@f1c2774e @dabe0ad5 I think that for most people ot starts with a kink. They finally feel sexy when they wear women's clothes even though they are just an unkempt, overweight, pale man. At least that is what I am seeing in the Pacific NW. Then they get so much positive feedback that they finally feel like they aren't a fat loser anymore. So they cling to this little bit of positivity in their life. At least it gets them to shave their face and brush their hair, I suppose.

@dabe0ad5 @6350630e @f1c2774e A dude who I met through some car events got sucked into this. He is about 20 years younger than me, and has kind of an aimless life. When I met him, he was a regular gay dude who liked cars and guns. Now he's got purple hair, wears garish makeup, and is growing breasts. It's weird.
