random idea that just surfaced - maybe consider a continuous glucose monitor as well so you can precisely moniter how food effects your blood sugar
it would also reveal correlations between blood sugar levels and symptoms too sometimes the food-effect correlations can be hard to notice, i discovered that back in 2014 when i got a really bad chronic allergic asthma problem come up after 7 months on jail food like, for one thing, i found that caffeine suppressed the allergy symptoms, but it had such a weak effect after a few days trying to keep that going i developed severe sleep problems i also found numerous foods triggered it, brown rice, whole grain wheat was worse than white, cucumber, tomato, capsicum, to a lesser extent also milk and yoghurt it helped in other ways but the milk diet resulted in a lot of weight gain also... low GI but high energy... it's horrible, like being imprisoned in a room with a psychopath who is invisible and you can never know or see where he is gonna attack you from next

Yeah that seems about right. Sure an inconvenience, but doubtful much more than what you currently feel or what could develop if things stay unmanaged.
I'd typically take all this advice with the understanding that they're all selling things in some way, may have a radical leaning for engagement and would calibrate my behaviors accordingly - but things being as you've described, i'd say really internalize it. Ken Berry is very much an advocate for full carnivore, even if you can only afford hot dogs and says that milk is useless for anyone beyond breast feeding age. Of course grass fed/finished meat, ethically raised animals is the best way to go. Snacking on bacon, pork rinds. High fat content will help stave off any cravings hunger and sugar cravings. I do one meal a day, assisted by a bulletproof type of coffee: grass fed butter + mct oil, I do grass fed ghee + coconut oil. You have a tough path ahead, but its a path nonetheless.
Going in and out of ketosis also sucks, so really try to stick with it and avoid the keto flu as much as possible
yeah, speaking of which, fasting is starting to come up in my mind a lot about something that would help this peripheral neuropathy is driving me absolutely nuts in recent weeks, today, my right hand is totally prickly and weird, itchy for no reason... and i've had a constant problem with what i now think is dermatitis herpetoformis, which is a reaction to gluten proteins! something i've had problems with since my mid 20s, extremely irritating, get it on my hands, elbows, knees, and very rarely feet feeling pretty dark mood today with all this on my mind and how i'm feeling physically
I've really dropped off this past month - sugary alcohol, less strict with carbs and multiple meals, might be noticing early symptoms myself so I'm going back. Two things I noticed with the ketovore&one meal a day brings an eternal but subtle tunnel vision through out the day from the fast and the diet change definitely with energy levels + skin flare ups way less and more managable. thanks for the tips... i have figured out that part of what was keeping me drinking alcohol was its effect of increasing insulin resistance, this peripheral neuropathy stuff comes up strong when i stop drinking so now i gotta figure out what to do about it i was experimenting with yohimbe as it was said to stimulate the production of amylase, and amylase building up around nerves is one likely cause of neuropathy especially the kind that does the cramping thing (by creating capacitance in the nerve signaling path, ie, slow to charge, slow to release) oof what a mess i'm in, and i'm supposed to be trying to work through this while my brain is not functioning, this is not easy lol

not a problem... one of the big struggles i have now is sourcing food that i can eat that doesn't make my issues worse... the available food at local stores here in madeira is extremely poor, hard to find beef at all, and getting supplements is a real pain as well... i do feel very much like i should seriously consider the idea of moving to a place where i can get access to these things... like Denver, Colorado, would probably be a good option, but the money i need and organising long term visa etc what a nightmare gonna just try to hodl and maybe i'll have enough money by the end of the year to really dig into this, for now just to keep the wolves away from the gate
