Went to the store today to buy meat. It was weird just buying meat. I had to walk by ALLLLLL the stuff 95% of the store to the meat / seafood isle.

Out of seafood / meat, a lot of it has sauces and sugar additives. For the first time my eyes were opened to just how many foods have sugar in them 🤯

Bought beef, pork, chicken, fish, scallops, oysters etc.. Did not see ANY organ meat which is odd considering this country likes Yakitori. All sausage had additives ;(

I'm not aware of any local butchers but do know of one pork processing place but it's kind of far. I think I'll make a trip down there for quality sausage at a later time.

Overall surprised by how affordable it is despite high beef prices. I think I got about 5 meals worth which should last me 5 days. Luckily I live very close to the store where I can just walk there in 3 mins and buy anything I want.
Sounds awesome! I respect people who are willing to do that. And yeah you'd expect healthy food to be way more expensive but when you cut out all the extras like snack and stuff it really isn't.
 🤟
I watched this guy's YouTube channel and it had great info that got me motivated. I dropped sugar and dropped carbs and lost about 90 pounds. This was with just diet change and no exercise too, which I have to try for this year.

Imagine if we just got rid of sugar in most food …
The crazy things is so the names they use that basically translates into "sugar" they use on the labels too. It can feel like you're being tricked into it.
Yes. It's gross how much sugar is in everything.

I get so pissed when shopping. Ugh.
Been eating strictly meat (90% of it beef), eggs, some dairy, salt, and water since the start of December.

Walking into the grocery store is a completely different experience now. You begin to see how full of garbage and poison our food is. Even things as simple as meat, which should be a single ingredient item, have a laundry list of chemicals, preservatives, additives, and other unnecessary flavorings.

Find a local butcher or, better, a farmer, and buy directly from them. Look for grass-fed, grass-finished meat. Cost per pound will be higher, but you know you’re getting by proper unmolested food. And, despite the price, it has been my experience that, at worst, your grocery bills are equal due to the removal of all the other junk that was previously being bought, or, more likely lower.
The next week is key. Your body will withdraw from sugar. You will have strong cravings. Stay the course, best you can. Let your body transition from sugar to burning fat. When it does, you will feel awesome, and the excess weight from all that garbage fiat food will fall off. But just make sure you eat enough. Also drink loads of water, and make sure you get fiber.
What’s a good source of fiber?
Avocado, lentils, chia seeds, and black beans are easy to eat. Lentil pasta is nice, and chia seeds mixed in shakes goes down fairly easy. Veggies are all good, but you have to eat a lot. Stay away from the gummies and cereals. Those are fiat fiber.

A bigass steak with some avocado and black bean salad....
I was also surprised when I started reading labels a few years ago.
